This beautiful 2 Bedroom 1 Bathroom Casita is just a 10 minute walk from the beach and all the action Leucadia State Beach has to offer.

From our property, you can safely walk or ride bikes almost anywhere. Conveniently located near the beach and you are only a few minutes from 30+ restaurants & bars and other activities.

Located just 10 minutes from the beach. The home has been designed to maximize its prime location in one of Southern California's most desirable areas.

For those of you looking to have a cozy and relaxing stay, this is the home for you! Inside our home, you will find (2) bedrooms, (1) pullout couch, (1) bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and living room, a spacious backyard with a treehouse, fire-pit & outdoor dining area.

Incredible cottage in incredible location

Couldn’t be happier with our stay. The cottage is the perfect size for 2-4 people. Hosts were able to get us in earlier than expected and communicated every step in the process. Check in was a breeze. Will definitely be staying here again; location couldn’t have been better.

Sweet Little Cottage

We live locally and needed to get out of our house during a renovation. This little cottage is as described. It’s cute and cozy. Beds are comfortable and AC in each room was nice. Located on an alley, it’s fairly private and quiet. Close to coffee, restaurants etc. While we didn’t take advantage of it, the backyard is nice with outdoor dining area and fire pit.

surf visit

the cabin was awesome. we especially appreciated the following: the well appointed kitchen the ample strorage space outside for gear the cleanliness the nice linens Only downsides were difficult parking, which we were warned about and lack of an outdoor shower, which was mentioned somewhere in the description. and really the outdoor shower would ba a good addition to save wear and tear on the bathroom. just a thought. thanks for a great week! we will be back.

Very Cozy!

The title is fitting! We felt very cozy and relaxed in the cottage. The backyard is wonderful! Our son loved the treehouse, we had fun playing corn hole, and enjoyed relaxing next to the fire. The neighborhood is great. The long walks with our dogs along Neptune Avenue was enjoyable. Lots of options for food and the kitchen was well stocked for our meals in. We slept very well too! I definitely recommend staying at the retro cottage. One word of advice: bring a small car. We brought our large Ford Expedition and the neighbors sharing the driveway with us had a large Fire F-150. This made pulling in and out of the driveway challenging. A smaller car would have made that a lot easier. Thanks for a great stay!

great location, very overpriced house

Some of our issues were due to the property management, which we are told is now being changed. VRBO did refund us a night due to the issues we had. We arrived to a dirty house. The sheets are clearly not been changed, they were full of hair and our bed actually had foil pill cards still inside the sheets.There is no dishwasher, and the dishes and utensils were clearly dirty. The rugs had visible debris on them and when we moved one of then to shake it out, it dumped a pile of sand and debris on the floor. Management was initially helpful and sent a new cleaner, but quickly became unreachable. We also went days with no wifi as the repeater was missing and no one would come to help find it. The sleeper couch was broken. The house itself is a very cute bungalow type beach house in an amazing location in Leucadia. Walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The outdoor living area is very nice, but also unusual as there is no back door to access the back patio. We enjoyed the fire pit, and ate dinner outside a lot as there is no table to eat at inside. The house is very small, the walls are paper thin, the light from the kitchen pours into one of the bedrooms over the space above the wall that connects them. There are 2 bedrooms but literally everyone has to be awake or asleep at the same time, its crazy close quarters. The parking is a whole situation. We have a ford truck and we had to arrange with the neighbors constantly to get in and out when we went places.

Sweet and cozy

The property is as advertised, likely even better in person. It is cozy and quaint with a lovely backyard. The owners were easy and communicative and the whole experience was perfect and exactly what we were looking for.
