• NO A/C: Like 99% of homes here in Lake Tahoe, this property DOES NOT have air conditioning, but fans are provided.
• PARKING: Limited to 6 vehicles (fewer when snow conditions exist). Street parking is never permitted.

This house has stunning details like the Brazilian Mahogany Wood Floors and a unique front door that emulates sunshine and boasts great style! The ground level of the home is reserved for communal areas and activities, while the upper level houses all four of the sleeping accommodations. "Polaris Place" is just 5 minutes from the heart of Tahoe City, w/various shopping options, a movie theater, restaurants, and a popular public beach. It is also within 30 minutes of multiple ski resorts, including Palisades Tahoe and Northstar Resort.
As you walk through the entrance door, the sunken living area is straight ahead and features two sizable couches for lounging, stone coffee tables, a wood-burning fireplace, plenty of games and books, and access to a wrap-around terrace w/ a breathtaking view of the lake. The kitchen and dedicated dining area are elevated and overlook the living room. Everything you need to prepare a great meal is readily available in the open-concept kitchen that includes an expansive island with a built-in stovetop and griddle. Up to eight guests can eat at the huge wooden dining room table. Next, an indoor/outdoor patio w/sliding glass doors that fully open so you can take in the lake's gorgeous view while working out using the exercise bike, treadmill, or yoga mats provided. On the other side of the living room, you will find a half bathroom and a large laundry room.
Up the carpeted stairs are all 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The first is the enormous Primary bedroom boasting a King sized canopy bed and two rocking chairs positioned to gaze at the stunning floor-to-ceiling views of the Lake. End the day relaxing in the large soaking tub, then curling up next to a fire and a smart TV movie. This Primary's ensuite has a tiled tub, open standup shower, double sink vanity, and a laundry chute to the washroom below. It also has an exit to a private, lake-facing balcony that's only shared w/ guests in the adjacent bedroom.
The spacious second bedroom is just down the hall and features a bunk bed and a Cal King bed, plus balcony access. Its ensuite holds a laundry chute, a big vanity, and a cobalt blue tiled shower-tub combo.
The remaining two bedrooms are located down the hall. The tiny third bedroom is ideal for the kids and has a sturdy bunk bed w/ 2 twins. The fourth and final bedroom is a spacious area featuring a queen-sized bed and its own balcony with views. Once more, this room comes with an ensuite bathroom complete w/ a big vanity and a shower/tub combo.

The Neighborhood:
Typically, this is a quiet residential neighborhood with the potential for noise due to the high school located just a few parcels down and across the street from Polaris Place
Getting Around:
Tahoe Regional Transportation Agency (TART) is the FREE public bus system in the area. Private taxi services are also widely available. Many resorts offer private shuttle services as well. 4WD or AWD Vehicles are always recommended for travel in Tahoe during the winter months.
Other Things to Note:
• The driveway is a bit steep, but should not be a problem since it is also HEATED.
• Typical of most homes in the Tahoe area, this unit does not have central A/C.
• There are several sets of stairs throughout the home.
• There are 2 exterior security cameras in use.
• The two outer garage bays are not available for guest use.

Really enjoyed the house with family of 8. Heated driveway and garage fo 2 cars work really well during the winter storm! Very convenient to Palisades and Tahoe City.

Large home for our family ski trip. 3 of 4 bedrooms had a full bath which was nice. The master suite is huge with gorgeous lake and mountain views. I enjoyed the large kitchen facing the living and dining areas so we could all be together. A bit rustic, but that's to be expected for Tahoe.

We had so much fun in Tahoe city! The property is gorgeous and the dogs had a blast in the backyard. The deck gets great sunlight with gorgeous views of the lake. Only complaint was that the blinds in the master bedroom were broken so we didn’t get to see the gorgeous views from their beautiful coffee setup in the bedroom. Btw it’s the biggest master bedroom I’ve ever seen!! Would definitely stay again.

The place was easy access. The place over-all was clean except one room there was dog hair on the bed. Happened to be the bed a guest that is allergic to dogs slept.

Upon arrival, the property had not been thoroughly vacuumed, and we needed to address this ourselves. Additionally, some of the bed linens had an unpleasant odor. The garage on the left side did not open with the provided access code, and the water heater appeared to be malfunctioning, as the kitchen faucet and the bedroom on the far right had only cold water throughout our stay. Overall, given the price paid, we expected a higher standard and a better experience.
