Wake up to stunning ocean views from the comfort of your bed. Enjoy your morning coffee and the ocean breeze on the expansive wraparound porch looking at the beach and waterfront. Mermaid's Cottage is an enchanting beach cottage located two houses from Laurel Beach, a private groomed beach with boardwalk that spans the length of all eight avenues of the Laurel Beach community.
Take a walk on the private beach boardwalk or take a bike ride to the nearby ice cream shop and local cafe. Escape to the observation tower at the Audubon Society Coastal Center at Milford Point to watch birds in both the marsh land and on the beach. Enjoy the Walnut Beach boardwalk that leads to the Silver Sands State Park boardwalks and beach. When you return from the beach, step into the large refreshing outdoor shower. At night, relax on an outdoor sofa in the private backyard oasis with string lights next to the fire pit or search for stars on the beach. Mermaid's Cottage offers the full experience of a classic beach community in every way.
Experience the unique and classic coastal décor throughout this home with bead board paneled walls, open beamed and vaulted ceilings, vintage detailed molding and a grand split staircase.
Milford, Connecticut has 17 miles of coastline to explore. Within walking distance of the house is Walnut Beach and Silver Sands State Park that offers miles of seaside boardwalks to explore. The Walnut Beach area offers stores, cafes and open air restaurants to visit as well as a weekly farmerâs market and summer concerts. Within a short walking distance is the Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center at Milford Point. Downtown Milford is located 10 minutes away with a beautiful town green, ponds and waterfalls, and a quaint town harbor. Downtown Milford offers many unique shops, breweries, cafes, and restaurants. 15 minute drive to Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater venue in Bridgeport.

Our home lies within an idyllic and classic beach community setting. Our waterfront views and easy access to our private beach is why we purchased this home. Our ability to be outdoors and walk or run for miles along the coastline is priceless to us. We are so grateful for our home and all that it's relaxing location has to offer.

Our close proximity to the beach, our expansive front wraparound porch with waterfront views and a constant ocean breeze are the main reasons why we love our house. We also enjoy our large private backyard and patio to host intimate gatherings for our family and friends.
