Hi, Frank, thanks for your time to write the review. I am very sorry that the AC broke down during your stay. You checked in on Saturday, and I was notified Tuesday around noon about the AC not working. The AC technician showed up after 5pm the same day and determined the AC is broken. I was shocked! The AC was installed just over 5 years ago (normal lifetime of an AC unit is 10 years). If I had known earlier, I would have gotten it replaced under the manufacturer's 5-year warranty, but it had just expired. I immediately called two different AC companies to ask them to replace the unit ASAP, but unfortunately they were too busy to replace the unit in the same week. As a reference for future renters, while the windows or doors are open, the AC may not be able to cool down the house. It's best to close the windows and doors while using the AC. Also, try not to set it lower than 70 degrees; this may overwork the AC and cause it to freeze. I think one possible reason for the AC's early failure is that it's been stressed throughout its lifetime.
