Sunny Daze Cottage is a completely remodeled 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage at the Villager Resort on Lake Cumberland. It offers a large outdoor covered deck, stack washer/dryer, modern kitchen, dining room & bathroom and sleeps up to 8. It is located within the Villager Resort with amenities including a private overnight boat slip, a motorized tram to take you down to the private boat dock, in-ground pool, arcade game room, firepit, shelter house, basketball and pickle-ball courts. It's a family friendly, safe resort where your family can make lasting memories together. We are within 10 minutes of Somerset, KY which boasts many restaurants, shopping, and supplies. It is the largest town on Lake Cumberland.

One of the cleanest places we’ve stayed. Very well kept and maintained. The small little community also has amenities you don’t find at most places. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Location in the resort was great for our grandsons to be able to move about freely and enjoy the pool and the recreation room all very clean. The home was nice and just what we needed no more no less thank you for letting us stay.

Annual 4th of July Trip

We absolutely love the Villager Resort! We’ve stayed several times over the years, but this particular house and location has been our favorite so far. The home was spotless upon arrival and stocked with all the necessities to make our stay comfortable and easy. One of the highlights was the covered porch—it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind in the evenings. Can’t wait to come back!

Everything we wanted

Been coming to this area for years and this is the cabin I’ve always wished we had! Renovations were perfect, cabin was perfect size for my family and friends that came. We will be back!

Such a cute well appointed cottage. Clean and comfortable! Excellent communication with owner. We enjoyed being out on the deck in the evenings with family. Had everything we needed. Hope to return next year.

This cottage was perfect for our family!! Our teenagers loved their own space and there was plenty of room to relax after a day of boating on beautiful Lake Cumberland. The thing I liked the most was the little thoughtful things that they have done to make it more like home. The extras like cozy blankets, covered porch with lots of seating, a bean bag for the teens, and a kitchen with everything you need as well. Thank you to the hosts for a great stay!! We will be back!!

My wife Robin and I reside in London, OH and have 3 children, 2 grown and a teenager still at home. The teenager is an athlete and plays club & school volleyball and softball. We spend the majority of our summers on the road at softball tournaments so we don't get to the lake quite as much as we'd like.. When we have a free weekend, we love to go boating and have been enjoying Lake Cumberland together for many years. We had the opportunity to purchase cottage #7 in the Villager and couldn't pass it up. We are thankful to be part of the ownership group within the Villager Resort. The entire resort has been upgraded into a top notch, family friendly resort and we are thrilled to be included in it.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

I have been coming to Lake Cumberland for over 30 years and have stayed in many places, but mostly at the Villager Resort, because of the lake access, swimming pool and overall family friendly resort vibe. We had the opportunity to purchase one of the units within the villager and quickly jumped at the chance to remodel and refurbish our cottage in hopes the resort will become what it used to be. We are excited to be a part of the Villager Resort on Lake Cumberland as the owners of the Sunny Daze cottage #7.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Our cottage was completely gutted down to the studs and completely remodeled. It was in desperate need of a complete overhaul which was done from September 2023 to April 2024. All of the plumbing, HVAC, electrical and floors have been completely replaced. We added more insulation, to the walls and attic, a new shower, a brand new kitchen and turned the old sun porch into living space where the 3rd bedroom and dining room are now. The outside was completely refinished using concrete hardy board, a metal roof, new gutters and downspouts were installed along with brand new vinyl windows. We tore down the old deck and built a new one with a roof over it so you can enjoy it even in the heat of the day or when it's raining. It was alot of long weekends, and are proud of how it turned out. The villager is unique with the lake access, full resort amenities, especially the private boat dock, which is hard to come by these days on Lake Cumberland.
