"Boma Beach House" managed by Dale and Salt Water Real Estate is a multi-level row home with sea sights, sounds, and experiences for the whole family. Beach-combing is just a hop and skip away as are Ocean BREEZES from your balcony, private yard, or a two block stroll to the Atlantic! Sun, Surf and Sand await you on your CB adventure

Your property

Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. It’s a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!

The home lies directly in the middle of both Carolina and Kure Beaches and is a long walk or short drive from downtown Carolina Beach and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island.

You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier compete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is nearby, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday, FIREWORKS every Thursday, and outdoor summer movies on Sunday’s (on a large inflatable screen in the middle of the lake!). We welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!

As you approach your mission: “Operation Sandcastle”, you’ll notice an abundance of outdoor covered space providing ample storage and parking for all your personal beach nick-knacks, bikes, trikes, and belongings resulting in the perfect space to fit your entire extended family with ease! As if crisp morning breezes, pelicans floating in tandem overhead, all while residing less than three blocks away from Wilmington Beach wasn’t enough, the owner’s left a Weber charcoal grill, and countless misc. beach toys and surprises for the “little one’s” throughout.

After ascending the steps up to your get-a-way, the entry to this 4 bedroom/3 bath townhome opens into a unique, welcoming, and amazing space!The large and newly renovated open floor plan comes into full view just as you hop up the steps. The floor is comprised of an expanse of entertainment areas, a modern Chef’s kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, family room, and more! Modern stainless appliances and a kitchen chocked full of amenities give you the ability and access to dine both IN and OUT like royalty.

1 courtesy soap, shampoo and conditioner are left in the bathroom of each home as well as 2 rolls of TP per bath, 1 makeup wipe and one backup toothbrush. 1 roll of paper towel, a sponge, dish soap, 2 trash bags per receptacle and (*as applicable) 3 dishwasher and laundry pods will be available to use if needed!

An eclectic mix of family room furniture is meant to provide something different for each of our guests Variety is EVERYTHING! Natural light just pervades from every angle. There’s a large screen smart TV, a private East facing private deck space providing both interior AND exterior dining options to suit the weather, mood, or ambience. Good conversation is a MUST!

The owner’s LOVE a good “game night!”. There is ABSOLUTELY NO shortage of board games, trivia, puzzles, and more to explore. Sometimes developing an allergy to technology when on Vacay is the BEST medicine! Continuing West though the kitchen, you happen upon Bedroom #1 with a Queen-size bed, dedicated workspace, with Full bathroom access to bathroom #1(shower & tub combo) just steps away.

As you make your way upstairs, you are immediately met with an expanse of breathtaking panoramic views through your East facing French doors leading out past a personal lounging area and onto your balcony. Your private oversized balcony comes complete with Sea Salt breezes at no added cost, access to a tranquility, and a respite that will simply melt your cares into the sun-kissed seascape before you. The master bedroom (Bedroom #2) is completed with a King size bed, ensuite bathroom (#2) with a vanity and standup shower stall.

Heading Westward down the hallway immediately on your left resides Bedroom #3, the “kids’ room” with a Twin + Full bunk bed, chest of drawers, and rocking chair. Directly across from the “kid’s room” sits the laundry station complete with everything one may need! A tad further West (also on your left) rests Bedroom #4 with a Queen-size bed, chest of drawers, and Full bathroom # 3 (shower & tub combo) steps away for optimal convenience.

1 set of the following will be made on a per bed/per person basis to help you be comfortable on your adventure! Bed sheets (fitted/flat set), bath towels, wash cloths, cleaning rags, pillowcases, bathmats and kitchen towels. Laundering or extra sets are not an available service regrettably. Please make sure all used linens are placed in one location in the home at departure. Please let all BED LINENS remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! Guest access

The HOME: Guests have full access to their own private HOME (never shared) along with a respective patio, balcony and backyard.

The YARD: The backyard/front yard is intended for both units to be able to congregate, BBQ, play, and have a blast. Please do NOT let your pets loose. Feel free to utilize the front yard, side yard, or any number of amazing neighborhood walks to help your furry child relieve themselves.

PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (3-4) assigned parking spaces located on off street.

Interaction with guests

I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :)

Neighborhood description

Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The building itself is one row away from the ocean, and two rows in from the Intracoastal Waterway. The suite is less than a mile from the heart of Carolina Beach and everything that is has to offer with its shops, activities, and dining. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier complete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is nearby, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday and FIREWORKS every Thursday. We welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!

Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. We truly have an amazing community! Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more relaxing and less “adventure” is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!

Getting around

There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has several vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. There's Sun Fun Rentals @1204 N Lake Park Blvd Unit F Carolina Beach, NC 28428. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!

After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!

Other details to note

•Salt Water Real Estate has partnered with the absolute best vendors our Island has to offer to help ensure guests can spend more time enjoying themselves and less time researching! Our partners include the Tony Silvagni Surf School for professional surf lessons, bicycle, umbrella and chair rentals, Hot Ticket Fishing Charters, Salty Dog and Dust Busters Cleaning & Linens.

•There is a $150 non-refundable pet fee for up to two pups. There is a two-dog maximum unless an exception is granted.

•April 1st through September 30th, dogs are allowed on the Carolina Beach during restricted hours of BEFORE 9:00 am and AFTER 5:00 pm. On the extreme North End of Carolina Beach, dogs are allowed on leash 24/7 on leash. In Kure Beach, dogs are NOT allowed at any juncture. Fort Fisher allows dogs on leash on the beach 24/7. Please be responsible to follow all town pet ordinances and have an awareness as to which beach you are on at all times!

We’ve got no direct lines to Mother Nature regrettably and ever more so, have no ability to guaranty personal vacation plans go untested. Solid stay

Overall the property was nice, however check in was difficult due to delays in communication and there were some dishes not clean when arriving. The outside shower does not work, which made cleaning off from the beach a tad more work than expected. The home is nice though and very close to the beach.

Weekend Getaway

Upon arrival, we found the garbage disposal under the sink was detached and of course the sink inoperable. Turned out the plumber had discovered a leak earlier and instead of fixing it, they left it and failed to notify us prior to arrival. The maintenance team could not tend to it right away, we went almost a full day of stay with no working sink. An issue as such should have been addressed/fixed immediately regardless of time of day. Additionally, the code I was given for the lockbox was incorrect (the lockbox was unlocked). I found the correct code in the house information binder. Lastly, the garbage was halfway full on the side of the road with trash inside the recycle blue bin. There was a big cooler inside the showers outside that were moved to the back of the shower sometime during our stay. The area is really nice and where we stayed was quiet and a short 5 minute walk to the beach. Attention to detail on the small things would have gotten this beautiful home 5 stars from me. I loved the house and the split floorplan, however, the cleaning team needs to do a better job.

Hi! Thanks much for the feedback. A few clarifiers for accuracy sake! The Welcome Message and corresponding code sent to you two days before your arrival is the same code as the hard copy inside the home. Unfortunately when not reviewed in advance, it can cause additional complication if done last minute on arrival. We always recommend (and message such) to confirm and download prior to arrival so any potential technical issues with a personal device can be circumvented and we can assist if needed. With regards to the refuse, much like your party left behind some so did the prior guests. There was no issue here. The perception that outside receptacles will be emptied on an arrival are simply not aligned with the weekly pickup schedule of the town. The comment however on the plumbing was accurate! The plumber did not inform us he needed a part and left the sink partially complete. It was finished in a timely manner and posed minimal impact to your stay. We do apologize about that. Repairs do happen and I apologize it took slightly longer than we both expected! In the future, it would be of great help to review the welcome messages and correspondence prior to arrival. It will certainly negate any last minute stresses that should;d be left home when on an adventure! :)
