Buoy and Gulls was partially updated in 2024. This adorable cottage is only a 5 minute walk from the beach with private access. It is 1,200 sq ft with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and side deck. This beach retreat offers access to many restaurants, shops and activities within a quick 2-3 mile drive or bike ride. Enjoy beautiful beach sunrises and sound-side sunsets.

This house was perfect for my family of 5. Lots of space for the entire family to comfortably relax. Norma was a great host and answered all of my questions that I messaged to her. The walk to the beach was exactly 5 mins as described and not bad at all. We had a great stay here, would 100% recommend.

Stayed here for 5 days while we attended a wedding in Corolla. The property is very clean and spacious. It had more room then I thought. Great location, close to the beach and downtown Duck. I highly recommend this property!

Property was in a great location and provided amenities and gear that were wonderful for our family. However, the property has an odor (very similar to moth balls) and damp rid hanging bags throughout the house. Also, the grass leading to the stairs was very high, and we were concerned about ticks.

Short trip to the Outer Banks

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we had a wonderful time! The house was perfect for my family and for what we needed. It was a very short walk to the beach and very close (driving) to shops and restaurants. The owners were very responsive and welcoming.

Great Stay

2 easy blocks to Atlantic Ocean . All sandy barefoot beaches that are incredibly long. 1 block to main road. Quiet neighborhood. Best value for the money. Would stay again!

Heat and air

It was a great visit except our second day was interrupted by the air conditioning man who was there for at least four hours and we had no idea he was going to come. So it made us rethink that day, and we only had a couple of days there all together.

Clean and comfy!

Norma’s house is clean and comfortable, perfect for a vacation in the OBX. Norma was extremely responsive to our needs & check-in was a breeze. There is a beach cart with chairs, an umbrella and boogie boards & the property is a short walk to the beach. We used the charcoal grill for dinner one night, too. Will definitely stay here for our next visit.

Wonderful relaxing stay

We loved our stay at Buoys and Gulls. The house was spotless when we arrived, air conditioning worked great, and the owner was very responsive. The big sunroom is so comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing after a long day at the beach. Beds are comfortable too. Will definitely stay again!

Wonderful Beach Vacation

We loved the cleanliness and spaciousness of this house. A short walk to the lovely beach, and a short drive to the town of Duck. Full-size washer/dryer, central air, and a big TV with comfortable lounging furniture.

Perfect Beach Cottage

Loved Loved the house

We love Sound Sea Village and Buoys and Gulls was perfect. The location is great and the house and beach vibe was wonderful. The sleeping options were perfect and the pull out sofa in one of the family rooms was a bonus we didn't even know about! We had an amazing vacation and really appreciate everything!

Very charming, comfortable place to stay! Did have a little walk to the beach but we didn’t mind since it was private to just those on the street. We would definitely stay here again
