Rey clean lovely condo with a wonderful view of the river. Sunrise was gorgeous. Bed was super comfortable. Colonial beach is my new favorite little vacation town. Very friendly people. Our host was so responsive and welcoming. Much appreciate his quick response to questions. There were a lot of steps to climb to get to the condo but that’s probably a good thing for a Bach front property. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Beach view was gorgeous. Condo is very clean. Enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful sunrises. Furniture was worn and somewhat uncomfortable. Wish we had known the that condo is located over a bar and next door to a bar. The evenings that the DJ was playing below us and/or the band playing directly outside the window was extremely loud and vibrated the entire condo. No one could think about sleeping until the music stopped playing.

We loved our stay here. The location is awesome, right on the boardwalk and beach. The condo is very clean and beds were very comfortable! We will be back for sure!

Great Stay

This place has everything you'd hope for—prime location, spotless and great amenities. Just a short walk to great restaurants and coffee spots, plus an easy walk to the Tiki Bar for live music and good vibes. The included reserved parking was a definite perk, and Adam was very responsive.

Perfect for a local, chill get away

My BF & I recently got engaged and hadn't had a vacation w/ just the two of us (sans family or pets) in 8 years. We wanted some place not too far so we didn't spend a lot of time on the road, near water, & relatively affordable. Sail Away at COBE it was. It took us only 1-hr and change to get there from where we live 25 mins past Fredericksburg. Smack dab on the beach front Sail Away is incredibly convenient & easy. It's decorated just as I would decorate a beach apt. and it had everything one needs to enjoy a week long, low key vacay in a small sleepy beach town; we only needed to buy groceries and more TP. Note: use the coffee pot; Keurig does not work well. Also note, although above a bar, bar noise is not too bothersome. Our only issues; a dying fire alarm battery at 1am driving away my brother who was staying that night after drinking with us at Dockside and a VERY loud band playing next door at High Tides Sat. night with some unattended young kids running around screaming bloody murder. Adam responded as promptly as he could to the alarm given it was 1 am and even he is at the mercy of maintenance. However, maintenance did arrive earlier than they quoted- said they would be there before 11 and got there between 0930 and 1000. The alarm was hard wired and didn't want to mess with it. Otherwise yes, we probably would have tried to take the battery back up out ourselves. The band & kids we just had to endure by hiding in the bedroom, closing the door, and turning TV up.

The property is exactly as shown on the VRBO site. If you want to be where the action is, then this is the place for you! Steps from the beach, dining, and shops. Without hesitation, we will rent this property again!!
