Walk to Cascade Lake and all of the Moran State Park trails.

Rosario Resort is one mile away, Eastsound Village is a 10 minute drive.

The terrain of Orcas is gorgeous, but the hills also mean that your cell coverage will be spotty. We have reliable wifi with a local provider. Many of our guests have used it for video conferencing while working from the house.

The driveway is shared with the house next door. This house is TO THE RIGHT.

We welcome your pets in our home and do not charge a pet fee.

*PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE FURNITURE OR BEDS. We will charge an extra cleaning fee of $30 if there is excess hair on the furniture or beds.
*Use the dog towels in the entry closet. White towels are for people only!
*Dogs are not allowed on the sofa or beds.
*Dogs should be left alone only in their crates. Ideally, please take them with you.
*Doggie bags are under the kitchen sink. Put them in the trash, never in the toilet.

Fabulous home tucked up in the trees, sparkling clean, modern, minimalist, comfortable. Central location to explore all parts of the island easily, and peaceful Cascade Lake is just down the street. Star gazing on the deck, private and serene setting. One of the best VRBOs we've ever stayed at!

Beautiful little house was perfect for a family getaway! The location couldn’t be better— right by the hotel restaurant (so good!) and cascade lake and the wonderful places in Olga. Host was so easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. Would love to come back!

This house was perfectly located and with all of its windows was such a pretty and peaceful view. It was so easy to cook some meals in and located near to shops and restaurants. Our host was excellent! Very communicative and gave us very helpful advice regarding the ferry & special places to visit and eat. We would highly recommend this place to stay! You will be very happy you did!

Modern retreat, great location

Beautiful modern house with lots of natural light. Very comfortable spaces to hang out and relax, including a great deck. Nice location---short walk to Cascade Lake; short drive to Eastsound, Moran State Park, and other places of interest. Host was helpful and very responsive, good communication. Would stay here again!

A lovely home for R&R

This is a lovely home for a short respite. The neighborhood is terrific for long hikes down to the water or into the trails. All of the creature comforts are provided - we wanted for nothing.

Beautiful Orcas Island in the woods

Beautiful house and property. Close to hiking trails and Eastsound. Set in the quietness of trees and lots of Star gazing on the deck. Orcas Island is a special place of beauty.

Cute House, great location

This home was a great experience. It was clean and it had all the essentials. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the view of the lake thru the huge windows. It was a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the state park. Jan as a host was great, providing recommendations for activities on the island and making sure that we didn’t have any issues with our stay.

Wonderful spot! Scented

This was a wonderful spot! Incredible location, so close to the park and easy drive to the shops. Our favorite was walking to cascade lake with our pup!PSA: this location is strongly scented and made us a bit ill. Note that this is not accessible for scent sensitive folks! (Meyer products are SO scented, and all over the house.)

This house is incredibly equipped. Everything I could have wanted was there. The location is superb, along with the Wi-Fi, communication with the host, interior decor, furniture, kitchen setup, bed mattresses, secluded environment, driving proximity to everything and house beauty! And adding the deer outside was a nice touch. Our goal is to frequently return to this property. It offers more than I can describe. I’m elderly and have unstable footing. The fact that this in single level was tremendously helpful. I can assure you this is a solid and perfect property. The decor is sophisticated and glamorous. You won’t be disappointed!

WONDERFUL!

House was exactly as pictured on listing! New, clean, with all the amenities. Host provided excellent directions and points of interest - very good communication. Home is very short walk to hiking trail around Cascade Lake. Steep driveway with some deep potholes to get to the house but other than that minor issue it was one of the best stays we have had.

Anniversary Weekend

We had a great time and Jan was an excellent host. The photos on the website were 100% reflective of the property. The only downside was the length of time it took for the hot water. Other than that, we had an excellent time.

One of the best vacations for our family! This house had all we needed and was a quick walk to Cascade Lake where we jumped off the bridge every evening before dinner to end our day. The house was well-equipped and comfortable. We ate in for most of our meals but the location was perfect to eat out too at Buck Bay or Eastsound Village. The washer/dryer combo was key with little kids along with a powerful dishwasher that made clean-up easy. We were greeted each day with a family of deer in the yard and the deck was heavenly for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Jan was amazing with communication prior, during and after our stay. She was a huge help in reminding us of ferry schedules (and importance of booking a reservation early for the stay) and we encountered a couple issues while we were there which she attended to immediately. We will definitely be back as this home and location was ideal for our family!

Perfect WFH

Jan was an amazing host! The location was wonderful and the internet worked perfectly! My husband and I are both on video calls all day and never had a problem! We stayed for three weeks and everything was wonderful! The house is about a 10 Minute drive to town , near by restaurants and trials were accessible. The house is very pet friendly! We had our two big dogs with us and they had plenty of room! I would love to stay here again

I am both a Host and an avid Airbnb traveler.

Twenty-four years ago I took a sabbatical from my design job in Portland Oregon and moved to a small island in the San Juans. My partner and I built our own home and art studios. We work as a gardener and carpenter, paint and make fiber art.
We love taking retreats on neighboring Orcas Island, where we hike, swim and enjoy the mountains and lakes.
