Ghosted by the property manager at check-in

Booked this 3 months ahead of time. When I arrived the weekend of Rolling Loud (when everything is booked) I tried multiple times to contact the property manager and no answer. I called VRBO customer service and after sitting in my car on the phone for 40min they agreed to refund my money. I found 1 room left at a run down hotel under construction.

False Advertisement

This is not a true 3-bedroom apartment; it’s more like an efficiency with three sleeping areas. There is only one bathroom, located in the master bedroom, which was not mentioned in the listing. The bathroom was very small, even for a child. We decided to leave after the first night and contacted VRBO for a refund, which I am still awaiting. Additionally, there was a connecting door to another unit, occupied by other guests, which we only discovered when we heard voices at night. The space had no living room, just a narrow hallway with a broken chair, and the stove resembled a toy stove from a dollhouse.

Aminata you have accurately described the apartment exactly how it shows in the listing and the pictures so this is not false advertisement. The only thing that was not on the listing is the fact that this is a duplex, because you booked prior to us adding that in. You were the very first person to use this unit, therefore you were the one to break the chair because that was brand new when we placed it there. you also did received a partial refund so there’s a few things that you are neglecting to mention. The listing has since been updated to include the fact that it is a duplex with two separate entrances, totally separate units from each other which allows us to rent it to smaller groups as not everyone needs a six bedroom home.
