Awesome location in Wild Dunes! The condo itself needs some updating. There are clear signs of wear and tear. The bed is unusually high (for a 5' 4" person) and no stool made it a funny challenge to climb (or hop) into each night. Once there, the mattress was very comfortable!!

Condo was clean, updated, and fully equipped with just about anything we could want.Just something to note; the cellular reception and wifi (in condo) is really bad in this area, we could make no calls from our phones unless we were away from the condo or on the beach.

Right on the Beach

Island Realty correspondence was very good, everything functioned, and we were actually able to relax. Check in/out was a breeze. We've been going to IOP for years so we're pretty familiar with the area. Shopping is excellent, top drawer restaurants are everywhere and, of course, the beach is wonderful. Overall good experience again this year.

Perfect One Bedroom Condo

The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the furniture and decor was beautiful. The king bed was comfy and we slept great. The best part was the view from anywhere in the condo and how close it was to the beach. First week of November was a perfect time to visit. The beach was mostly deserted but it was high 70’s everyday so we were there most of the days.

Refrigerator ice maker also inoperative. Had to do the ice tray thing all week. Screen door off the deck had screen hanging loose on two sides, also warped to where it could not be opened more than a foot or so.

Quiet location. Safe location with less crowded beach than most. The unit is beginning to show age, but is still a great value. The desk check in process was friendly and even available before 4 pm.There were a few maintenance issues upon our arrival - which were reported promptly, although it took calling three different numbers before I could even leave a message. Nobody even returned my call or checked on our visit. Poor customer service.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I completed a survey on line of our recent vacation on Isle of Palms twice, but haven't received any response. So, I'm addressing some issues from our visit.We have used Island Realty for over 20 years, and have been pleased with most of the accommodations and service. Setting up a reservation, making payments, and enjoying our selection has been very good. This was the third time staying at IOP this year, twice using Island Realty.We made arrangements to stay at Port O'Call F1-1 July 18-22. We had stayed in Unit F201 a couple of years ago, and were very pleased with the beautiful furnishes that appeared to be quite new. Both units were clean and ready for our visit.F10's description was stated as "renovated kitchen with NEW Queen size sofa". We were disappointed as the kitchen had old cheap plywood, overly painted cabinet doors, not renovated. The two sofas were very old and seemed to not have any springs in them! When we sat on them, we fell backwards into holes which made it almost impossible to get out of them! There wasn't a comfortable place to sit. One of the bar stools was broken also. The washing machine didn't work on the last either.While we enjoyed our stay, we were tremendously disappointed in this unit. We paid alot for this unit and were expecting a better quality unit.We have reservations for Christmas with Island Realty. We've spent over 10 years enjoying Christmas at the beach and looking forward to many more.We hope you address these issues before others rent this unt and are as disappointed as we were this time.

Could have been 5 stars only if....

This is a great property. Very convenient location, well decorated and as advertised. Facing the beach, next to the pool, just 2-3 steps from first floor and you are on the sand! Gorgeous sunrises. BUT - Our stay was marred with one major issue - a Toilet which won't flush and even overflow intermittently. This is a problem because this is a one bath unit. Needless to say we wasted a lot of time with the plunger and cleaning up the bathroom floor. Couple of calls to maintenance and no-one showed up. We didn't want to waste our vacation going up to the front office and spending time chasing repairs, so we just suffered. Other minor peeves were - Front door and Patio Glass slides doors were dirty, ice-maker out of order and comforters either should be cleaned or covers provided. Like other reviewer - pull out sofa bed mattress is sub-par, gasket on fridge is coming off, you gotta close it shut every time. There is a lot to like about the unit - nice kitchen, full size fridge. Excellent Wi-fi connection, well lighted area during the night. Screened deck is nice, there are couple of beach chairs, umbrellas, etc.Safe parking. Wild dunes is a really family friendly beach. Grocery store is within few miles. Overall this is a most convenient location - awesome! Nice space in the living room. There is even a wine rack and wine cooler fridge. Free long distance within USA from the landline phone. Our ATT cellphone didn't have signal inside, but we could get iMessage texts due to Wi-Fi. Sufficient and good quality towels provided. There is a grill by the pool for general use. The tiled shower is nice and spacious. The shower by the pool is right outside the unit, so you can rise off sand as you come back from the beach. Island Reality seems like a professional company. After hours check-in with a lockbox was a breeze. Directions were great. But guys - for this price - I expect the maintenance to be tip-top. I feel like we deserve partial refund to offset the many hours me and my kids spent looking at the swirling toilet as it flushed empty - like watching paint dry. Dear Owners / Island Reality - please contact me if you can - we would be happier with a partial refund. I would recommend this unit, but only after the primary maintenance issues have been corrected. Cheers!!

Reviewer Comments: The condo was very clean and welcoming. Only had a few things that didn't work that was the TV in the bedroom and the Internet wasn't the best. I think the mini fridge at the wet bar works it just wasn't turned on. Other than that I loved the place. All the comforts of home. The kitchen was a bit small being a gully, but easy to work around with only two of us. The shower is to die for. I have to say relaxing doesn't do it Justice. All in all awesome. Didn't want to leave.

Awesome Place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in POC F101 and loved it. It is right on the beach and next to the pool. There was plenty of space for my family - 2 adults, 2 kids. I know some people complained about the sofa being lumpy, but we never used it - we were either on the beach or had it out as a bed. Yes, the porch door doesn't open all the way, but it opens enough for a person to get out the door without issues. We didn't use that door often anyway. POC in general could use some updating to the property, but over all it was clean and well taken care of. I would stay here again. One thing to remember is that this property is far north on the island, so it will take you an extra 15-20 minutes just to get to the connecting bridge. Bonus - the beach is not busy at all! This is the second time we have used Island Realty and I would recommend them to anyone.

We were notified that we could check in early which was a pleasant surprise. From the very start everything was perfect. The office staff was friendly and most helpful. We were checked in within 10 minutes. The condo was clean and all was in good order. It was just as described on line. I had stayed in this unit a number of years ago and the renovations were a surprise and welcomed. The bathroom and new shower were especially nice. The only little hiccup was the sofa. It could not be used as an extra bed because the the springs/mattress were totally worn out and uncomfortable but we were able to use the daybed instead. I would recommend updating that sleeper sofa. Overall it was one of the best stays I have had this year.

It was decorated very nice. We had 4 staying in the rental which was a tight fit. The sofabed was definitely not comfortable enough to sleep on and the sofa did sink in. I was told the couch is being replaced. Overall the views and proximity to the beach were great!

A couple of items need to be updated. 3 of the 4 beach chairs are broken and unusable. The couch in the living room sank in and made sitting on this sleeper sofa uncomfortable. Recent Stay at Port o Call F101

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in Port-0-Call F101 in September 2023. After reading a recent review I had talked to Island Realty about the dirty condition of the sofas and chairs. They assured me that that would be taken care of before our stay. It was not. We walked in and the 3 upholstery pieces were very dirty. We turned the cushions over and put clean sheets on the 2 sofas. The living room smelled of urine. We went the next morning and bought Febreeze and sprayed the area rug 3 times to get rid of the strong smell. Other things that needed attention were the louvered door on outside had only one hinge in 3 holding the door on. It made it hard to enter and exit. Two of the 3 window blinds in eating area were broken and could not be opened. Only one side of the toaster works. We were disappointed in the dishes and flatware. I had to keep washing silverware by hand as there was not enough. There were only 2 of us, and we ate all dinners out. None of the dishes matched. It gave the kitchen a shoddy feel. We expected more for the money we paid. The bath remodel was very nice. The view was beautiful, but without that we would not have stayed. This condo needs more attention, and many things addressed. We checked in on a Sunday night after rental agents were closed. The lock box they use has numbers on it to open the box. The numbers are worn off and it took myself and another guest over half an hour of guessing to open our boxes.

Great October Vacation at Port O Call F101

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great week at this beach front unit. The location couldn’t be better. Sitting on the deck was almost like sitting on the beach. The condo eas very clean and overall pretty updated. The kitchen is nice, but not the best equipped, stingy on flatware. The deck was great, but the screen doir only opened about 25 percent because it rubbed the floor and the screen was loose. The front screen door was hanging on a single hinge. A little maintenance will fix those things easily. Overall a great place to stay with a few minor issues.

Ocean Front Perfection

We visit Isle of Palms on a regular basis and highly recommend Port of Call for easy beach access and stunning views of the ocean. Great restaurants available on the Isle of Palms, Sullivans Island and Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant. Great place to unwind.
