Quiet country cottage located just east of Bonne Terre. If your looking for a calm peaceful experience this place is for you. Enjoy your morning coffee sitting on the front porch looking out over scenic farm land or a quiet evening around the fire pit while watching the star studded skyline. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the basic spices, baking ingredients, cooking utensils and dinner ware. If you prefer grilling there is a pellet grill ready for your seasoned steaks. Bath includes large walk in shower and all essential toiletries. Bedroom is furnished with queen size bed and smart TV. Living room has a queen size sofa bed, electric fireplace, smart TV and fast reliable WiFi. Property is located within 20 minutes of local wine country, beautiful hiking trails, petting zoo with exotic animals, family fun center, space museum featuring actual items from NASA and the world renown Bonne Terre mine featuring a billion gallon underwater lake. All this and more awaits your arrival.

The best thing, I think about this host has done, was that fact that she made a categorized notebook for the guest to see what activities were available around the area.

It was very quiet and enjoyable stay. I was in town for a funeral and was looking for somewhere to stay that was close to family. This was perfect. Everything I could have needed was available. When I arrived, there were muffins waiting for me and that was very much appreciated. If I am back in the area, I would definitely stay here again. Very nice.

The host Sharon was wonderful. She had fresh made muffins, gift baskets for our girls, candy bars and all the fixens for smores. The fire pit was amazing. The cottage was clean and perfect for our family. Our visit was amazing. Highly recommend this place.

Sharon was the perfect hostess in a perfect little cottage. Fully stocked kitchen, homemade muffins and bowls of candy. Very comfortable bed. Everything was spotless. Great fire pit area with wood provided. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful house, very clean and welcoming.

My husband and I were on our way back to Texas from Chicago. We never have been in Missouri so we decided to stay a couple nights. We couldn’t have been more happier to be greeted with homemade muffins and beautiful and clean house. loved how organized Sharon was from binder with several things to do in the area to everything she thought of that a guest would need in the house. Pictures are exactly what you get. Stay was very comfortable, house very clean and area quiet. Definitely would recommend to stay here.

Sweet Getaway

I absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful cozy cottage! The host was so sweet and thoughtful. She even left a gift basket of goodies for us! Everything was clean, and she has thought of everything you may need during your stay; she even had an extra toothbrush, which I was so grateful for as I realized late at night that I had forgotten mine. The linens were soft and of excellent quality. The location is quiet and private, we didn't see one person during our stay. It is conveniently located close enough to town that you can easily drive to town to go out for supper, but far enough away that you definitely feel like you're out in the country. The kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare your own meals, including a dishwasher. This has become our go-to quick getaway spot!

Fabulous Getaway

If Sharon isn’t a super-host, she should be! Her rental is hands down the best we have ever experienced. She provided everything we could possibly need and more. From the beautiful views outside to the immaculate interior, it was perfect. We enjoyed the weather and peacefulness around the fire pit and topped off the evening by enjoying s'more's from the fixings provided. The home baked muffins were the icing on the cake though!!! I’m gonna need that recipe

The Best Little Cottage Ever

This has been the very best experience I have ever had staying anywhere. The house was super clean & had everything you could possibly ask for. They even had all the makings for s’mores and extra mini candy bars and homemade pecan pie muffins, which were wonderful! The cow theme was super cute! Everything was comfy and clean. We would definitely stay there again if we are ever on the east side of Missouri.

One of the best VRBOs

We truly enjoyed our time at this cottage in Bonne Terre! We were there for one week and the location worked well for what we needed to do and see. The hosts were so friendly and very accommodating. This cottage has everything two people need to make it comfortable. We literally have zero complaints. It is a one bedroom cottage with a kitchen, laundry, dining room and bathroom. There is a sitting area outside that is wonderful. Their property is very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Blessed hiking weekend at the cottage

Wow!!! Simply wow!!! This cottage surpassed every expectation. From the easy check in and communication to the cleanliness to all the little extras we didn’t expect to find. The host and hostess have thought of everything and truly made this an experience that we will return to. Wonderfully stocked. Smelled amazing. This cottage felt like home away from home and was in great driving distance to so many awesome hiking and eating spots. Will absolutely recommend to other and book again when we return.

Peaceful

I love to stay in luxury hotels in this town unfortunately there isn’t any first time ever renting a place it was peaceful. It was private. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The owners are wonderful. I’m allergic to a lot of foods. She made me some amazing muffins. I can’t say enough about this place.

Everything we needed and more!

Clifford’s Cottage is squeaky clean, expertly stocked, cozy and just off the beaten path from many area attractions. Sharon literally thought of everything and was kind enough to leave a little welcome gift for our young kids and check on us when storms came through our second night. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and our kids are already asking when we can come back! Thank you for a memorable family weekend!

Sweet Getaway

My boyfriend and I were looking for something local but still rural for us to enjoy a night away. The house is incredibly beautiful and decorated so sweet. We sat out by the fire pit for 3 hrs and enjoyed the view while roasting marshmallows to make s’mores with the supplies for the left set up for us by the owners. It was an amazing stay and we will be back.

Perfect Peace
