The pictures dont really do justice to this property. New construction with no apparent expense spared. Clean enough to eat off floors and with views fit for a post card. The owners are gracious and responsive. I look forward to our next visit to Dark Haus.

Scouting for upcoming elk hunt

What a beautiful home. We had everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to all the toiletries we would need. Sitting on the large deck out back gives an incredible view of the mountains. And just off of the deck, is a gas firepit which we sat around at night and gazed at the stars. Very peaceful!

STUNNING

This is literally the nicest most upscale VRBO I have stayed in, impeccably decorated, clean, new, fresh, bright but cozy. All the feels on this one. Beds were firm. This is my #1 favorite rental of all times. The scenery is unbelievable, 100% clear wide open view of the mountains. Do not delay.........

Breathtaking!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was incredibly clean, the best view, and the details in the build of the home and the little amenities they offered guests made it feel so luxe. These people absolutely know how to do a vacation rental correctly. Also, the stars in the middle of the night took our breath away with the added bonus of it being completely silent at all times of the day. There is a grocery store in the small town that you drive through to get to the home where you can stock up on all of the essentials, there’s also an incredible coffee shop and another delicious breakfast place in that town. I have nothing negative to say about the location or the home and I would absolutely come back.

Stunning views in an amazing A-frame

Perfectly peaceful stay at Jason and Christina’s beautiful new home! So many thoughtful touches. They really have thought of everything. Great communication and info. Every detail covered! Coffee bar items were fun to try. We enjoyed the local Peregrine coffee they provided and our own prepared with all the options. Comfy, fresh bedding was appreciated. Loved the solitude in the beautiful new A-Frame home and the views all around. The Sangre de Cristo range is striking from the windows, back deck and fire pit. Our week long stay was just what we needed and we would love to return! We hiked, visited the sweet town of Westcliffe but mostly just stayed at the house enjoying the quiet!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dark Sky Haus in Westcliffe, Colorado, and it far exceeded our expectations. This stunning off-grid luxury A-frame cabin, nestled on over 35 private acres in the beautiful Wet Mountain Valley, is a true gem. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the setting and the incredible attention to detail throughout the property.The views are simply breathtaking. The large windows and spacious deck provide uninterrupted, panoramic vistas of the majestic Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We enjoyed our morning coffee watching the first light hit the peaks and spent evenings on the deck as the sun painted the sky in brilliant colors. The scenery is ever-changing and always spectacular. Being part of Westcliffe’s renowned International Dark Sky Community made the nights magical. The stargazing was phenomenal — we saw the Milky Way in vivid detail, countless stars, and even a few shooting stars. It felt like a front-row seat to the universe.Cleanliness was impeccable. The entire cabin was spotless from top to bottom. The modern kitchen gleamed, with every surface wiped clean and fully equipped for comfortable meal preparation. The bathrooms sparkled, with fresh towels, quality toiletries, and not a speck of dust anywhere. The bedrooms were tidy and inviting, featuring comfortable beds with crisp, fresh linens that made for deeply restful sleep. It was clear the hosts take great pride in maintaining this property to the highest standards.
