You inspire me to hopefully be like you two in just how you take on life and how you two hiked 60 miles during your stay. It was nice to have walked in and found little to do after your stay. The property looks exactly like the pictures, and I’ve never seen a VRBO with so much decoration and homeliness. Maddie the Host was incredibly responsive and accommodating as well. Having access to an in-home washer and dryer was just the cherry on top

Lovely home tucked into some trees. Clean, with comfortable beds and furniture. The hostess went overboard (in a good way) with amenities. Fresh cream for coffee in the fridge. Fresh fruit, cookies, cheese and crackers. Water bottles at bedside. Big screen TV with streaming capabilities.

The owner was friendly and nice to talk to. She went above and beyond with goodies and treats to make us feel welcome. It was a quiet place and we made good use of the outdoor area and porches to relax and look at the mountains.

Everything is just wonderful .The view is absolutely beautiful, and the place has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is perfect for cooking, there’s a cozy fireplace with no need to worry about firewood, a fun popcorn machine, and even a telescope for stargazing. Such a lovely stay. The host was so sweet and easy to communicate with. The house was spotless and came with home-baked cookies, snack bags of chips, a huge supply of movies, a telescope, hummingbird feeder with nectar all ready to go, TONS of towels and fuzzy blankets for snuggling, and supplies like sunscreen and razors. So close to the hiking trails! And did I mention the home-baked cookies? I wish we'd had the chance to make use of the popcorn machine, too. Ah well, next time.The only drawback was the bedroom situation made sleeping arrangements a little awkward for two couples. Both beds are in the loft with a Jack-and-Jill bathroom in between, no door for the first bedroom, which has direct access to the stairs, so I had to warn the guys when I was changing. BUT this house would be ideal for a single family group.This house will be on our list for the next time we stay in Westcliffe. 3

Cortny I have in the upstairs closet in the first bedroom a privacy screen to place in front of the stairs and over. I have privacy curtains that come across for both bedrooms. Guests do have to walk through the first bedroom loft and walk through the hall way to be in the second master bedroom. There are two bifold doors to close off each room as well for privacy from each room. The jack and jill has doors between each bedroom as well. I do not know if you saw the bifold doors and screen in closet. Not sure where you were standing when changing. I hope this didn’t make you feel uncomfortable. I hope guests see as I show they are loft bedrooms and show pictures of the sleeping arrangements. Thank you for your comment. 😊

Well organized and clean. Most places you stop at the grocery store and you never what you need. Oil, sugar, etc. but we needed very little. They had snacks, movies, popcorn popper. Great host and a beautiful place.

Wonderful property

We came to the Westcliffe area to celebrate our anniversary. Property is located near plenty of hiking trails and well within driving distance to town. There is also enough seclusion for lounging around. Maddie is a great host. Between the care she gives the property, the little things she leaves around for your use, and the gift she left for our anniversary, you can tell she cares about your stay. This is a sweet little home on the side of a mountain. Visits from hummingbirds and deer were frequent events. Maddie left wonderful touches all over the home. What a stunning house and a fantastic location. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house. Walking in to the incredibly high ceilings made it seem like a lodge from the movies! The house was warm (even when it was snowing), comfortable, and full of everything you need to relax. We really appreciated the snacks provided too, and having laundry was very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this fantastic place.

Great family getaway

This place was amazing. It is away from the bustle of town yet within a few minutes drive to Westcliffe. We were frequented by deer, rabbits, and even some turkeys. We did some hiking which was close by and spent lots of time playing inside and outside games. We had no complaints about the house or the view and the owner was easy to contact and communicate with. This was our first time using VRBO and Mrs. Madeleine made it easy to do. We will definitely be coming back.
