Host was nice and communicative upon check in. Location is exquisite; right by grand central station to get around! However, there were a few things that dropped stars in our rating: windows do not lock (though we are up two levels), a used wash cloth was crusty and rolled up on the toilet, hair was left on the shower walls, the smoke detector was broken open (not working), and the upstairs neighbors screamed arguing at 3 AM waking us up (though other than that it was quiet).

Budget travel & NYC don't really fit in the same sentence however this accommodation is really close. Needs some updating but was affordable, clean, comfy & convenient and those 4 were our top requirements. * Important to note it is on the 2nd floor with no elevator if carrying your luggage is an issue.

Excellent location for UN meetings

Studio is spacious, well furnished, clean, comfortable. The location was excellent for UNGA/climate meetings. The place could do with a refurbishment -- the windows, floor and bathroom are old. Overall great location and deal for the price.

Coul do with a make-over. Deteriorating, scruffy and old generally. Location was good with access to times square just a walk. Steep stairs, needs a warning when booking. Certainly cannot be described as charming. Adequate and OK value for price.

Good, cozy place and good location

This was a pretty awesome place! The location was convenient, very close to Grand Central. The studio itself was cozy, comfortable, and clean. It had everything the listing described. I was in and out of the apartment a lot, but it was easy getting in and out. The furniture was very nice as well. Everything worked great!

We had a fabulous time exploring NYC. This little apartment was in the perfect location, a few blocks from Grand Central station which made taking the subway anywhere a breeze. The apartment was great, perfect for 2 people. We had a little mixup about keys but it was a minor snag. The apt isn’t high end but it has everything you need, it was quiet and in a great location

The apartment was decent. Good for the money, and it was in a good area - walkable to Times Square and other attractions. The only thing was that it was pretty cold and we couldn’t find a thermostat to warm it up. There was a mini fireplace that helped a bit but could have been warmer.

The building and hallways are filthy and smell of trash. The apartment is dark with the floor sagging underneath your feet. The furniture is old. The walls are dirty. The bathroom is full of mold. I could not shower there. It is very noisy and felt unsafe. This was the worst experience.

The studio was cold and rundown and noisy. There were two and a half steep narrow staircases leading up to the studio and there was trash in the hallways. The host did not respond to telephone call requesting a call back the day of arrival. He did respond with unhelpful messages a day and days later. The studio was so unsuitable that we did not stay and we made alternative boarding arrangements. The adjective "charming" is not appropriate in reference to this studio.

Bon séjour mais des améliorations à apporter

Logement conforme à l'annonce, relativement bien équipé avec une bonne literie. L'emplacement est parfait : situé à 5-10 minutes à pied de Grand Central et du métro. Petit café et vendeur de pizza presqu'à tout heure au coin de la rue. Points négatifs : vétuste, mal isolé et bruyant car donne sur une arrière-cour avec une soufflerie en continue. Le plancher s'enlève par endroits et la douche est difficile à régler pour la température de l'eau. La vaisselle est limitée. Hôte très arrangeant pour l'horaire de départ.

Das Appartement ist insgesamt etwas abgerockt und könnte eine Renovierung vertragen. Die Fenster sind undicht, es kommt kalte Luft her, was das schlafen sehr unangenehm macht, da das Bett direkt am Fenster ist. Warmwasser dauert lange bis es dann warm ist und man duschen kann. Hier fehlt der Hinweis dazu. Das Appartement war leider nicht wirklich sauber, sodass wir selber Hand angelegt und durchgewischt haben.
