Because we had family in the area, we did not use a lot of the kitchen facilities. This is a unique experience that one should have at least once in your travel journey. Be advised that if you are more than six feet tall you may have some choice words for the entryways but this would NOT be a reason to stay on this cozy, cool boat. The temperature was perfect in the kitchen and living rooms our entire stay. The temperature is a couple degree higher in the salon but still very enjoyable. Playing games nad watching a gameat the kitchen table was a hoot.

We had a wonderful stay! Christopher went above and beyond. I asked if I could pay extra to have some romantic touches for our anniversary, and he decorated with strawberries, champagne, roses, etc. And when we had a minor problem with the AC, he came right over and fixed it. Fantastic experience!

Everything was clean and comfortable. The boat is a quick 1.5 mile walk to St. George Street. The bed was comfy. I’d stay on the boat again.

Sleeping aboard the “ Funshine” was a delight. The boat was well outfitted and the interior spaces and cabins were clean and inviting. So many interesting items to take in, we wished we had been able to stay over more than just one night.

Darling "vintage" houseboat. Super comfy. Host was delightful. We fished a little. Sunned a little. Shopped a little. Drank coffee on the boat every morning. Walked to food trucks very nearby. Had dinner and drinks at Hurricane Patty's every evening. Loved the marina neighbors. Roamed historic St Augustine. First time (but not last) houseboat renters. Highly recommend! Try it! We melted right in and relaxed. Thanks for the excellent hospitality, Funshine. We will be back!

My husband and I have never stayed on a boat before and I can promise you that we will be rebooking with Chris the next time that we are in St Augustine. Chris was the absolute best host that we have ever had with VRBO. He answered our phone calls and text messages pretty quick. The funshine was clean, organized and well stocked with everything that you needed. We really didn’t need to bring anything extra with us. Sitting on the back of the boat while the sun was setting was my favorite. It was so beautiful! The bed and seating area was so comfortable. Probably the best nights sleep in a while. Even though it was pretty windy, you couldn’t feel the rocking of the boat from the inside. We were worried about the location but we were a mile from the main parking garage downtown. So we thought that the location was great! The restaurant next door (hurricane patty’s) was great as well. Yummy food and great service!

My husband and I are looking forward to buying a boat to live on. This stay helped us with knowing what it would feel like living in a marina on a boat. It was research and We loved it, just a cozy stay on the boat is all we needed. It was great!
