Nestled off a dirt road lined with Mossy Oaks, approx. 0.3 mile to Hagley Landing free boat launch, well-known for its amazing Views of the Waccamaw River (Intracoastal Waterway) and fantastic sunsets, & 4 miles to the dog-friendly, primitive, quiet, free public beach access as part of "The Oldest Seaside Resort in the US". Along the way to the beach you will encounter fishermen on the Causeway Bridges, with Heron and Egret just waiting to glean from their spoils.
Public Golf Courses abound nearby, in this very quiet and friendly area, with views of the river on every turn.
This peaceful retreat, located about 50 ft behind our MAIN HOUSE, features 1 open-concept bedroom with a queen bed, a lovely living room with a Queen sofa bed with a memory foam mattress, an office nook, fully stocked kitchen and a full bathroom with a beautiful "StarTrek" shower! ( See photos!) Enjoy the cool breeze on the porch, with your coffee, bird watching of abundant species, or star gazing from the fenced in yard, or relax indoors with amenities like a LG Smart TV, AC/Heat, and fast WiFi. Working remotely is totally an option. We give you complete privacy, aside from taking our dogs out during reasonable hours. If you have a dog of your own, we take ours out front, as we know all dogs are not open to sharing spaces.
Our place is equipped for both long or short stays to make your vacation one to remember, with a full kitchen with 2-burner stove, fridge, toaster, blender, microwave, cookware, & Mr.Coffee Mini, equipped with filters. It is best suited for a small family, or a couple.
Brookgreen Gardens is a popular botanical garden with exquisite art on display along the beautiful walkways, that transition into charming Christmas Lights from Thanksgiving through New Years. (Look up Nights of a Thousand Candles)
The legend here in Pawleys Island is the famous Gray Man Ghost, who warns the locals about approaching Hurricanes! Be sure and search for the tours that are both intriguing and a little scary! (Hobcaw Barony offers a 3 hour tour along the marshes of the Atlantic Ocean)
Fishermen, Boaters and all Sportsmen will love the rustic setting, making it easy to come in and out and many unique opportunities for many styles of outdoor fun.
There are dozens of unique shops and buzzing restaurants within a short couple miles. The local fare is quite broad, from Fancy Restaurants to Motorcycle Bars. Pawleys Island is referred to as Arrogantly Shabby, and the name fits beautifully!
