Castaways 8D gets an A+ from us!

This was a last minute booking and I can not be more pleased! Condo was beautiful and very accommodating for our large party of 10. Plenty of room for all of us. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Great beach view! We even had boxes of delicious cookies waiting for us upon our arrival!! We will definitely be back!

This condo was VERY clean and had everything we needed and more! Our kids got stung by jellyfish and they even had some vinegar under the kitchen sink. Ha! We had 5 adults and 7 kids and there was room for us all. Pool was clean every morning. Views were beautiful! We will definitely be coming back here. The beds were even comfortable!! Christi was very informative and friendly, she even let us check in a little early since our room was clean and ready when we got there Sunday. Highly recommend!!! We will 100 % be back soon

Beautiful condo!

Beautiful condo, located directly on the beach, close to several restaurants, pool is cleaned every morning, easy access to beach! One of our favorite places to stay!! We will be back! Owner was easy to reach! Also, they delivered cupcakes and cookies upon our arrival! 🙂

4 nights of bliss

We spent 4 nights here in March 2025. The view was spectacular and the condo had everything we needed and more. This will be our “go to” home away from home for beach trips. Absolutely loved the owners and enjoyed every aspect of spring break!

The spaces are barely big enough for an SUV, all passengers had to get out before we parked or you couldnt get out, and then you have people (several) that park over the line so the other space can't be used because there isn't room. It was very frustrating.

Family vacation

We loved our condo. We had a wonderful time. The only problem we had was the elevator kept breaking and we were on the 8th floor. Otherwise an amazing time!!

Frustrated

We had a registered emotional support animal for my niece that we were told could not stay. We were harassed about removing the dog from the premises after she was removed immediately. This should be something stated on your advertising. We understood no family pets but this was a different situation. Also the satellite dish didnt work and we were unable to watch tv for 36 hours after we arrived. We will find another condo and HOA that will accommodate us in the future. This was unacceptable! I will not recommend this property to anyone else!

We had my husband and I with our two 17 y/o sons and they each brought a friend. We had more than enough room to spread out when we wanted at the end of the night and lots of beds! We would absolutely stay here again. Parking lot is less than desirable but that was my only issue and wouldn’t stop me from booking here again.

Our stay at the Castaways was nice, location was a lil uneasy to find and the only down fall to our stay was the balcony. It was very small- not intended for a large group-not spacious. We had a nice little happy waiting for us. Overall it was a nice stay.

Our stay was great! We enjoyed the area. Lot to do from the beach. Other places you have to drive f.

The condo is in a great location. There was construction going on. Limited parking. People need to police the parking. Spots are tight and when people park over the line it eliminates parking spaces. Need to let people know to stay in the lines. Cleaning service needs to improve. Condo not as clean as was led to believe. This was our second stay. We enjoyed the area.

So many issues

While this is in a good spot and easily walkable, the building itself is in bad shape. The parking lot is so small that everyone is taking up two spaces and there is no additional parking nearby. Our code didn’t work when we got there and had to wait for a new email with a new code. There were no sheets or pillow cases on any of the beds-had to call for that and wait. This condo is on the 8th floor and had no water multiple times. When we called about it the first time, they said the pump for the building isn’t strong enough. No fix. Just wait for water. Once we waited for half an hour just to be able to flush a toilet. Apparently property management has changed, so when I called with these issues after hours I was told they no longer manage the property. The number I was given was out of service. I’m not sure who is really in charge and other than the water and awful parking situation, everything was resolved. I am not one to leave bad reviews, but this whole stay was just over the top bad.

Love Gulf Shores

Beautiful beach, awesome area. You can walk to several restaurants and activities. The condo was nice, very spacious, beds were comfortable, everything you need is supplied. The condo is right in the beach with beautiful views and just a short walk to the water. The pool was nice, kind of small when you get a lot of people. The only real complaint is the parking lot. The spaces are tight! We drive an SUV and could barely fit in the spaces. Cars were parking over the lines which made it even more difficult and left some people without a spot. It would be nice if they had numbered parking so each condo had 2 assigned spots. That way you are ensured you would have spot. Other than that, the condo was great.

Awesome and easy

Booking was super easy online and it was nice not having to go into and office and do the whole check in process after traveling all day. We had all the info we needed and had a great stay. Check out was also quick and easy.
