Beautiful fall trip!

Extremely comfortable home in a peaceful rural setting. Close to some excellent hiking trails, biking trails, wineries, breweries and orchards. We’d never visited the area before, when we return we hope this home is again available!

Girls birthday weekend

Very nice house. The property is stunning. The house was well outfitted and we had everything we needed. Went for a hike in Minnewaska preserve and that was gorgeous. Lombardi’s Restaurant was also great and only 1 mile from the house. Would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful scenery surrounding this quiet, clean home thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need and a welcome bottle of wine. Owners are very responsive. We enjoyed our stay so much last year, we returned this year. Highly recommend this rental.

Had a great weekend. House was perfect. Setting was beautiful. Owners highly responsive and vested in our enjoying our time. The weather was fantastic making for wonderful hiking. Lovely get away home

This home is very well set up for couples or groups with children. The master bedroom is private with its own bathroom and the other two bedrooms are very nice as well. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked. The grounds are beautiful. The house is convenient for all the activities you would wish to do in this area or you can just sit in the yard and enjoy the beautiful view.

Spectacular Views

Truly enjoyed our week long visit to this lovely home. Everything was provided including a welcome bottle of wine. The view from the house is truly stunning with the rising cliffs of the “Gunks” nearby. Plenty of places to hike yet close to the restaurants and shops of New Palz. The hosts are very receptive if you should need help. I highly recommend a visit

Charming and Beautiful property

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend in this charming Gardiner house. The inside of the house is prettier than the pictures. It was very clean and neat. The owners were always responsive and helpful. The property is very nice and faces a horse farm with beautiful views of the mountains. We had such a nice time.

The scenery and comfort of the Gardiner residence was exceptional. All the amenities you could need were supplied. We had 6 family members stay in Gardiner for the wedding of one of our sons. He and our daughter-in-law were married just a few minutes away @ Liberty View Farm. We could not have asked for better accommodations. David & Cheryl were quick to respond to an inquiry, graciously allowing the groomsmen to meet together before the ceremony. We considering a longer visit for the wedding couples 1st anniversary. Family weekend with our West Point cadet

We had a wonderful weekend with our son who is a West Point cadet. House is an hour from West Point. We relaxed, enjoyed local restaurants, a distillery is 2 miles from the house, and the fairgrounds had a craft show which was 5 miles away. The mountain and horse farm are amazing views! House was clean, beds comfortable, and hosts are very nice and easy to contact if needed.

Thoughtfully Cared for Home Surrounded by Natural Beauty

We stayed here with grandparents and tweens, and it was a wonderful place to relax, enjoy nature and spend time together. The property is absolutely beautiful! We sat on the front lawn chairs enjoying the view of the horses and fields across the way. We even spotted a blue heron while sitting near the pond in the yard, and listening to the sound of the running creek was lovely. The owners were very responsive, and the home was clean and had everything we needed. The Keurig coffee-maker, dishes, pillows, towels, games and books were more than what we needed. We hope to stay again!

Gardiner Experience

The house was just as described and suited our needs very well. It was a small, older house in a very peaceful country setting. We used two of the three bedrooms and found the beds very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, and we appreciated the triple filtered water. It would have been nice to have the stove hood fan working. It was a bit challenging to find the house in the dark, but would not have been any issue in daylight. We would stay again if visiting the area in the future.

A nice and quiet place with a good view of the horse ranch in front, BUT…

I felt that this is still an on going renovation of a 1930-ish old house, many areas still needs lots of work. While many amanuensis has been upgraded, however the master bedroom bathroom is still dated, lacking clothing hooks for towels and a counter for the toiletries. Both bathrooms lack exhaust fan, and the lighting is a bit dark, especially in the dining room, oherwise the place is pleasant, and has potential, an eclectic mix of vintage and modern…. I felt it is not worth the asking price for what it offered.

Hi Loius, Thank you for your positive rating and for recognizing our homes special balance of original vintage and modern updates. It’s always good to get new feedback, and based on your comments I have ordered another large towel rack in the master bathroom in addition the the hotel towel rack and hooks already in place. While it’s true that the large wide sided antique pedestal sink can’t hold every toiletry need, the linen closet in the bathroom does has ample shelving. But we're hearing you, and I have ordered a shelf for under the vanity mirror, which also holds small toiletries, and this should add more convenience for guests. I’m sorry you didn’t notice the exhaust fan in the second bathroom and I will add one to the master. Not sure why you found the lighting dim. And lastly, it seems that the bright 3-way bulb in the dining area was left on the dimmest setting. I can leave a note for future guest that it is adjustable to their likes.
