We were in town for an event at CMU. The Carriage House was perfect for our stay. Great location and cozy accommodations. Will definitely stay here again.

Easy check in, excellent availability of local contact, clean, comfortable, everything worked. Location within walking distance of campus, restaurants, and downtown. Wouldn’t change a thing.

Host friendly/responsive.Property is “ok”. Size-wise, fine for two people.There are some limitations and missing creature comforts one can expect with an old, historic-aged building
 very limited lighting in the bathroom (not over mirror where light needs to be), no central heat/air but a decent window unit (although hard to cool kitchenette), low ceilings and not much natural light. Bed comfy and sheets, towels and couch clean
 shower, fridge and coffee maker not so much. We had stayed the weekend before one night also - went to make coffee only to find molded grounds still in the basket from a previous guest
 then we accidentally left our bar of soap in the shower and a bag of ice in the freezer - both remained six days later on this trip - with the soap clearly have been used. Last time the shower was mostly clean except for the corners/caulking turning colors, but this time there were several long dark hairs and a dead fly on the shower floor. The fabric curtain also hangs into and sits in the water so there is a pretty strong mildew smell. The bathroom was clearly added so exposed piping which is fine, but very dusty/cobwebs, and the walls, door framing and trim work look like the work wasn’t completed as they are all different colors/not painted to blend at all - with the walls in the bathroom looking like a child drew all over in crayon in spots.Overall, a comfy bed, clean towels and great location - but definitely needs some serious TLC inside and out/property.

Quiet and peaceful

Easy access, quiet worked great for our needs. Only one thing was air conditioning was turned off so when we arrived after 5 pm it was very hot, took about 3 hours to cool down.

Home away from home!

Wonderful place to stay when visiting family in the area. Clean. Close to town. Huge big TV. Comfy King size bed. Kind and helpful property manager. Great stay!
