Stunning city centre 1 bedroom apartment sleeps 4

Quietly located in Edinburgh's highly desirable Stockbridge district, with easy access to the main attractions (15min walk to Edinburgh Castle) and excellent amenities close at hand. A comprehensive range of visitor attractions in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas will leave you spoilt for choice. You will be able to enjoy the attractions, whilst using the peaceful, spacious apartment as a base to explore from and come home to rest.

This immaculate property has two pristine bedrooms and can easily accommodate six guests. The master bedroom has a large double bed, while the second bedroom contains two single beds. Both bedrooms include fitted wardrobes. The living room has a spacious double sofa bed and includes a dining area with a table and four chairs. A 42 inch TV and free WiFi internet are also provided. The hall and downstairs porch are bright and spacious with tiled floors.

The kitchen is fully fitted with a washing machine, newly fitted gas hob/electric oven, as well as a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and cooking utensils. The bathroom includes a bath, power shower, wash hand basin and W.C.

Free residents parking is available for guests on the street directly outside the apartment.

Waverley and Haymarket railway stations are readily accessible, as are several major bus routes and all driving routes to the City By-pass, ensuring swift access to other outlying districts, Edinburgh Airport and the Forth Road Bridge.

I pride myself on guest satisfaction and all enquiries from guests will be answered as a matter of urgency. During Check-ins, either myself or a member of my team will be present.

Great flat in good location

Apartment is clean, attractive and roomy for a group of four or five. Walking distance (within1-2 miles) to most Edinburgh attractions. We found a free parking space in the residents' area. Would stay at George's flat again if visiting Edinburgh.

Great property with everything we needed!

We stayed in the apartment over the recent Halloween weekend and had a great time. The location is perfect only taking 10 minutes maximum to walk into town. There are lots of great bars and restaurants surrounding with great choices. The apartment itself was perfect and everything we needed, even the sofa bed was very comfy! We did have a slight issue with the hot water but the owners were very easy to contact and were more than happy to help us out. Great place, great weekend!

Modern, bright apartment in great location

George and his family were extremely helpful and accommodating with our early arrival and check-in. We found the apartment to look exactly as it did in the online photos - extremely clean, bright, and new. We stayed here comfortably with six adults for one night and would do so again in the future. Apartment was also in walking distance from many of Edinburgh's main attractions.

Ideal place for west end weekend Christmas Shoppin

We had a wonderful weekend with our girls of varying ages coming together for a christmas shopping and show weekend. It's in a lovely part of Stockbridge. Buses in Edinburgh always brilliant and 1 minute from flat. We walked to a couple of independant cafes, bused 10 minutes into the heart of town for mainstreaming shopping and Harvey Nics cocktails and did the winter Spiegeltent show and taxied back. Set us to be very festive. Only complain is I tried to cook dinner for 6 and its more of a 'breakfast' kitchen rather than a 3 course dinner kitchen in terms of utensils, pots and pans but with so many lovely places to eat I felt a bit daft!

Good trip..little details to arrange

Hello. We had a good trip in Edimbourg, the appartement is close to the center of the city and almost everything has been by visited by walking. The appartment is clean but wc was droping and the noise anoying on the night. There is no really 3 rooms but my friends were kind and we could arrange to sleep in the living room for one of the couple. Two chairs are missing also as it was for 6 adults. Also we found needles ( fot seringues) in the corridor of the building. Hoping these notifications will help you to make things better!

Thank you for the review! Thanks too for the feedback regarding the WC running water. Although this doesn’t affect the functioning of the WC, we appreciate your comments regarding the dripping noise and can confirm that the entire system has now been replaced. Regarding the 3 rooms, as stated in the listing, the apartment sleeps 6 however the Home Away system doesn’t allow owners to specify differences in rooms, i.e. a bedroom is classified as a bedroom whether it is a living room or an actual bedroom. This is something we have always been aware of and as such, why we state on the second line of the listing that we are a “2 Bedroom Apartment, Sleeps 6”. Also, the pictures on the listing clearly show and state that there is a sofa bed in the living room. Regarding the dining table, as again stated in the listing and in the pictures, this sits 4 people, not 6 and therefore is not missing any chairs. I’m extremely surprised to learn of the needles you discovered and suspect that these belong to one of our elderly neighbours who receives daily medical home care, however we will endeavour to take appropriate action if otherwise. Finally, I wish to pass on some feedback from our staff ,which I hope you will consider in future. Firstly, due to your late arrival you had agreed to pay an evening check-in fee however you failed to do so on arrival and secondly, you removed a service hatch in the apartment which was specifically sealed off from guest access. Please appreciate that you are renting someone’s home and thus replacing such items causes significant cost and inconvenience. I thank you again for your review and feedback and wish you well for the future.

Fantastic location, met expectations

Urban flat in an incredibly vibrant neighborhood. The Bailie Bar was the hit for us, made a few local mates! Three or four coffee/ cafe choices within a couple of blocks. Slept the three of us with room to spare. Everything as described, clean, basic needs provided, good communication. We love you, Stockbridge!

Perfect location

30 minute walk to Edinbugh castle thru old town shopping district. On a quiet street, round the corner from a couple of pubs, pizza and coffee shops. Very clean with the basic necessities. Recommended!

Great area.

Cute apartment with a nice view of the flowing stream and trees. Good location to area sites, shops and restaurants. My family really enjoyed ourselves. Right next door to the Sunday outdoor Market. Very clean and spacious

Excellent location

Had a fabulous weekend away with a trip to the Zoo, even got to see the panda's awake!! Apartment is an ideal location and great to see plenty of little shops/bars/eateries around the immediate area. All correspondence with George the owner was excellent and the box of shortbread was a welcome treat when the sugar levels dropped. Went to Hamiltons around the corner for breakfast on the Sunday, absolutely divine!! The Thoburn's & Slater's

nice appartment at good location for Edinburgh visit

Thanks George for renting our the apartment, which made our stay in Edinburgh very enjoyable. From the moment of arrival my family felt very welcome and at home. The apartment is nice, clean and spacious. It is close enough to walk to the Edinburgh center, yet there is also a good bus connection. In the immediate neighborhood are some nice shops, bars and coffee corners. On our first day we were pleasant surprised by the food market at the corner and had some delicious pastry. There is a walk along the river (great for running too), which makes you forget that you are still in the city area. We definitely recommend this apartment to other Edinburg visitors and hope to stay here again for our next visit.

Perfect Edinburgh apartment!

This was our first visit to Edinburgh and we could not have chosen a better apartment. George and Margaret were very responsive and friendly hosts. The apartment is spacious, bright, clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our family of 3 and you could comfortably add 1-2 more people. It is far enough away from the center of town that it is very quiet, but just one block from the bus station or if you prefer, a 10-15 minute walk into town. There are several coffee shops and restaurants within 1-2 blocks of the apartment. You will certainly see Edinburgh Castle, which is incredible, and we also took a day trip on a Grayline tour bus which we very much enjoyed. We hope to come back for a longer visit someday and will certainly return to this apartment!

Perfect apartment

Lovely apartment situated in Stockbridge. Only 10 minutes walk from the city centre. There was 6 of us stay here and we had no complaints and would definitely return. The apartment had everything we needed for a short stay and was very clean and tidy. I had great communication from the owner and was promptly refunded my damage deposit making the whole experience seamless and easy. As I say I would return here without hesitation.

Open Living Space

We were greeted by Margaret and given a quick tour of where all the things were we would need. There was even a nice treat of shortbread cookies! There was a packet that has information on the home as well as surrounding areas. It is in a quiet neighborhood. This was so bright and big to be able to each have their own space. I would recommend taking a taxi the first time arriving as it is a little hard to find the first time in the city. (After that we knew exactly where to go.) We would stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in Edinburgh.

Great property and great location

We really enjoyed our stay at this rental. The accommodations were everything we needed and the location was great. The apartment was close to restaurants and grocery stores. The local bus stop was just around the corner and it was a short ride to the center of the city. I would recommend this rental.

On arrival the outside of the apartment block did not look very welcoming, however , once inside we were delighted to find a spacious clean and modern apartment, Stockbridge is a pleasant 15 min stroll from Edinburgh City centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment to couples and families.

Honeymoon in Edingburugh

A big dining room with good furniture. A sweet design in the whole apartment. Very fast help if you have a problem (cold water and cold heating). We got a really warm welcome. You don't hear anything from the neighbours. A good place around the apartment with little shops.The only drawback: it could be a little bit more clean under the bed and in the kitchen things like the baking tray. Thanks to be a part of our honeymoon.

Perfect property and perfect stay

Everything was correct as expected. The apartment is very well located, in a very quiet place but you can walk to the Royal Mile in under 30 minutes or take a bus if you prefer. The New Town is even nearer. The apartment was clean and had all the household you can need for a few days. The owner's attention was correct also. Highly recommendable.

Great Apartment to Tour Edinburgh

My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this welcoming apartment. The location of the apartment was within walking distance of all of the sights, but it was also very easy to get a taxi to or from downtown. We found a wonderful little pub right around the corner that we returned to both nights of our stay! The owners were very accommodating and willing to work with our schedule on arrival and departure times which was very helpful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Location ideal to see downtown Edinburgh.

This apartment was perfect for us. Two bedrooms which was nice for privacy. And the location was fantastic it only took us 10 minutes to walk up the hill and we were on princes Street. I would recommend this apartment.

Nice place with good location

We enjoyed our stay here. The owner met us at the apartment at a time early in the day and even pushed back their schedule to meet us when our flight got delayed. The apartment was very clean upon arrival and they brought us milk and biscuits. The only issue we had was that the toilet ran water a lot, but that was easy enough to ignore. Even though we normally took taxis into town, the location was convenient enough that we walked back from the town center on occasion.

Welcoming, friendly, spacious

George was very accommodating and we felt welcome right from the start. There was a gift, with milk, tea and coffee avilable upon our arrival. The property was spacious clean and very comfortable, there was 6 of us in the group. The walk from the train station took about 15 minutes, but its an awesome walk in the the beautiful city of Edinburg. We would stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you George

Lovely and modern apartment inside! Great location and not far from Princes Street. Comfortable and cosy beds including the sofa bed. Clean, modern and great customer service. Had an amazing stay in Edinburgh, thanks!

Born in London, I moved to Edinburgh at a very young age. I went to school here and then onto university where I graduated in Computer Science. I have since moved back to London with my fiancee and spend my time working and travelling between both wonderful cities.

There are 2 reasons why I purchased this property and these are 'location' and 'space'. Anyone who knows Edinburgh knows that Stockbridge is probably the most desirable suburb in the entire city. With it's vast array of restaurants (including Michelin star), bars and independent shops, it's the perfect place to base yourself for a trip to the city. In terms of size, the apartment is very spacious and comfortably sleeps 6 people. Additionally, it's top floor location and large windows really make the apartment feel bright with lovely views over the Water of Leith river.

The apartment comes with free on-street parking which in Edinburgh is a very unique feature. The location benefits from being just a short walk from Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle, whilst at the same time allowing guests to sample the delights on the doorstep such as peaceful walks along the Water of Leith and the Botanic Gardens.
