We booked this place last minute after a bad experience with another place and it was perfect for us! The only thing i would recommend is earplugs. If the floor above is using the shower you can hear everything.

This property location is exceptional, we walked to everywhere we needed to go for the whole week stay, groceries & restaurants all very near by easily accessible. The kitchen and space was so fantastic vs a hotel room with only basics. Few items missing from kitchen a flipper, some salt pepper, paper towel, but other then that were glad to find French press for coffee, pots, pans, dishes etc. we made full use of the kitchen & We would definitely stay again.

The two bedroom basement apartment was excellent value for being within easy 10 minute walking access to the downtown restaurants and to the waterfront boardwalk. The apartment has two very comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and dining table, lots of hot water for showering etc. The apartment is in an heritage type building and shows a tad of wear. If you have a vehicle, you'll need to park offsite. For two days, we paid 45 to park at the Via Rail long term parking lot, an approximate 8 minute walk away.Overall, this is a great place to stay for visiting Halifax.

This listing was a great location as almost everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The only downside was that it was a little hot inside (stayed in August) but other than that it met our needs. The host had great communication and the locals were some of the friendliest people you could ever meet.

Do not stay here, the price is not worth it. The laundry was unaccessable (and they did not help when we asked them for it), the parking costs far more than a week long permit from the city, the bathroom door did not lock, and the dishes were not clean on arrival.

The apartment was unfortunately not as described in the listing, and we were disappointed with our stay.There was a strong mold/musty smell throughout the entire apartment, not just in the entrance. The cleaning also did not appear to be professional, as stated in the listing. There were spiders and spider webs in several areas of the apartment.The amenities did not match the description either. We were provided with only 4 bath towels and did not receive the 4 face cloths mentioned in the listing. The kitchen cabinets were very old and dirty inside, and the kitchen pans were in very poor condition and really need to be replaced.Overall, we did not feel that the apartment was properly maintained or cleaned to the standard advertised. Unfortunately, based on our experience, **I would not recommend this apartment**.

Cute basement apt

My mum and I were very comfortable in this basement apt It was actually a bit roomier than it appears in the photos, and nicely decorated. Unfortunately we arrived just after an ice storm and the steps down to reach the door were quite treacherous. No attempts were made to clear the ice during our 4 night stay. Otherwise all was good.

L’espace était propre et confortable. L’emplacement est idéal. Le propriétaire a été très prompt à répondre et à fournir les accessoires manquants. Toutefois l’insonorisation est minime, on entend les gens marcher et la douche couler à l’étage au dessus. Aussi un complément à la batterie de cuisine serait désirable i.e un bol à salade, une spatule à œuf et des verres. Je recommande tout de même l’endroit.

First of all I want to say that the location of the property was excellent. The manager was quick to communicate the day before we arrived. Street parking wasn’t an issue. The beds were comfortable and linens were clean. The exterior of the house was poorly maintained with old round table under the bushes and garbage around the front and the back. The interior needs refreshing and the kitchen counter is slanted along with shelving liners peeling off. The towel rack in the bathroom was coming off the wall. oMissing some utensils but we made the best of it. No large salad bowl. We improvised by using a pot. I didn’t mind the French press but I would have preferred a coffee maker.

The entire property required a lot of work. Ceiling, wall and floors required painting and cleaning. The toilet leaked around the base.The apartment was a basement apartment with locked bars on the windows. Our opinion it was a fire hazard. The access to the laundry room requires a review. Returning keys to a lock box so another apartment could use it would be improved by replacing with a coded door lock.

La position dans Halifax est merveilleuse, facile de marcher partout et une station Communauto derrière l’immeuble.Les photos sont fidèles. L’hôte repond rapidement au questionnement.Le seul hic, nous sommes arrivés de nuit et nous avons eu de la difficulté a trouver l’entrée du logement.
