We loved this midmod home!

We were absolutely obsessed with the mid century modern style of this home. The fact that it had four bedrooms, two living rooms, lots of couches, and a sitting/dining room with amazing large windows, allowed for plenty of space for everyone to sleep and hangout. It was also in a culdesac in a nice neighborhood with mature trees which made it feel safe and secure, and even a little secluded which was really nice. It was a little bit of a drive to downtown but nothing we aren’t used to, about 15-25 minutes depending on traffic. We loved coming home to this place after all our daily activities and loved our stay overall. The owner was helpful and so kind in leaving us drinks and snacks. The only thing we complained about was the toilet paper, but we just bought our own and left some for the next guests because the thin stuff that was provided was so bad. But, we would definitely stay again if we were ever in the area!

Enjoyable stay

My initial reaction to the decor was one of "This house's decor is old and needs to be updated." However, I then learned that Denise intentionally decorated the house in mid-20th century (1950s-1960s) decor and from that perspective has done an outstanding and impressive job. (1960s era architecture as well.) Aside from a minor glitch with the front door lock of which Denise was immediately available, the home is a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. Well-furnished with plenty of amenities of which she complemented with light snacks and bottled water upon arrival. She put post-it notes throughout the house to provide additional direction on how to navigate the various features. VERY clean with no health issues. Overall, I highly recommend the house and Denise as host. It was a short but enjoyable stay.

Very spacious and plenty of room for my family

Wed: Did not get access code to the home. We were 1.5 hours from our check in time and Denise responded to me and changed check in from 3 to 4pm. I contacted customer service and obtained the access code from them. The home was very spacious as described. Thur: This was where my family and I were having our Thanksgiving dinner, and the owner was aware of this. The lower level had sewage issues and so we lost access to this floor all day. Barry the husband came over to fix the issue with a plumber. He was rude and condescending saying it could have been a tampon. Really patronizing! Denise even text and stated they will not be able to host us so we may need to leave. I kindly reminded her it was Thanksgiving, and we have a 5 day stay at her place. There was no way for us to find another home today. Barry even unplugged the washer and dryer before leaving stating it is not to be used. We had 10 people in this home on a 5 day stay with no washer and dryer. It was definitely a slap to the face. Fri: Denise text me early on and asked when she can stop by to clean the lower level, I kindly declined as I felt they were invading our space. Sat: Denise text to ask what time we were checking out; I reminded her that her check out time was 11am Sunday. Our 5-day stay was stressful; I felt that Denise and Barry had sewer and water issues, including wasp issue and mostly trust issues with their home. I would not stay here again as I don't like invasion of privacy from the owners.

I am a realtor in the Twin Cities and fell in love with this one when asked to sell it! I had to buy it so others could enjoy this property

This neighborhood is near the vibrant NE Minneapolis area. The location is ideal, close to main road of Central Ave. and highway 694. Quiet cul-de-sac home yet close to all the cities have to offer.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Built in 1960 and much of the original finishings have been preserved! Mid century Modern vibes to take you back in time. So many spaces to either hang with the group or escape to another area. Warm and cozy and has all the essentials and more. The kitchen is over stocked! Well designed and built home to enjoy. Large dining table and 2 other tables for games or light meals. Lots of light flowing through the windows.
