House was just as described. We arrived on Christmas and appreciated the decorated tree and stockings by the fireplace because we were traveling with children. The yard was GREAT for our kids to play and for the adults to visit. The large spa tub was very nice too.

If you're looking for a private setting, this is not it. The 2 bedroom's windows both face the driveway the owner uses which shares the backside of the same property (its all attached) and they leave each morning before 5am, opening and closing the loud automatic garage door to go to a car in the driveway not the garage, then turning off car alarm all prior to leaving, guaranteeing you to wake up. On top of this the neighbor on the opposite side happens to be doing major construction each and every morning of our stay starting with jackhammering concrete at 7am sharp. The host did nothing to try and make better. I would of offered my guests the option to not stay during this type of work. Don’t get me wrong, the house is great, the experience was awful.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay! The house itself was relaxing, set up so well, well decorated but not over the top. Paul and Erika had everything set up perfectly for our comfort. They could obviously foresee our needs and exceeded them! The neighborhood felt very safe. The listing says "dog friendly" but there was no dog smell/hair- it was super clean. They had plenty of books and toys to keep our little ones busy so we could unwind. The backyard was lovely and so great to have lots of space to enjoy the sunshine. Communication was a breeze. Really, it couldn't have been better. This was the best VRBO experience we've had. Highly recommend.

Terrific location, near hiking, horse properties, shopping and restaurants. A/C units in property worked great. Short drive to old town Vista. Less than 1/2 hour drive to beach. Great backyard for relaxing. The home is decorated perfectly and we enjoyed all the beautiful plants.

Amazing hospitality

Erika and Paul have a special way of making their vacation rental a complete 5 star. There were so many thoughtful details from snacks to entertainment items that nothing was left to need. Very clean and well equipped for a great time.

Pauls place was great, we were traveling with a family of small children and it was so accommodating. Paul thought of everything to make the stay great.. I would stay here again in a minute!

I spent the majority of my 20s in the hospitality industry and have a deep appreciation for it. My girlfriend shares a passion for interior design; she has even designed homes for celebrities in the past. Together, we thought that starting a short-term rental would be a fantastic way to combine both of our passions.

The house is situated in the nicest neighborhood in Vista, where each property boasts spacious plots of land and stunning views. When you stay at the house, you’ll quickly feel like you’re in the countryside while still being just a stone's throw away from everything else.

You'll immediately notice the wonderful natural light that fills the house. Our favorite room is the sunroom, where you'll find a collection of our indoor plants. Our goal is to transform the sunroom into an indoor forest.
