Although it is not a main thoroughfare, it is a popular route to Downtown Brownwood. Additionally, there's a local tradition of honking while driving under the nearby train overpass. This fun custom excites children in the vehicles as it echoes and also serves as a safety measure to warn oncoming traffic at the blind corner. However, this noise typically quiets down in the evening, ensuring a peaceful night's rest.
