This is a fun property for a quiet getaway. Our host was wonderful and checked in with us during our stay, making sure we had what we needed and even made sure our furry friends were treated well. The lake is walking distance and the state park a short drive away. A perfect relaxing weekend despite some rain.

Enjoyed our stay. My husband and I had everything we needed. Loved how she restored the Magnolia 1957 Vintage trailer. It was fun to stay in.

Cozy, clean, and comfortable

This place was great. Friendly owners. Small but great for a family of 4. Very clean. Close to the water. Like walking back in time when you go inside. Plenty of amenities. Would definitely stay here again

Great little spot to stay!

This place is SUPER cute, true to the pics, and clean! I loved the retro style! Check in was easy peasy, the beds and linens were super comfy and soft, the shower water pressure was great, and it was a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Weekend w/ Family

We enjoyed our stay at the melody and the nostalgia of it. I really liked that it was pet friendly and our dog was able to enjoy the lake with us. The neighbors were friendly and we saw tons of deer and baby deer. The hosts were super helpful!

Simply the best!

It’s just as cute, clean and put together in real life as it looks in the listing! The host’s attention to detail and love for what she is doing is evident. Great communication, quiet little neighborhood, wonderful porch to relax on, comfy beds with nice linens; just what we were looking for for a weekend in Brownwood!

The range did not work. Many wasps outside. Nothing available to was dishes. There were morning electrical blackouts on 2 of the 4 days.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. There were area-wide power outages through Oncor affecting that side of the lake, which were unfortunately outside of our control. We also understand how frustrating the wasps must have been. We had checked the area, sprayed, removed nests prior to check-in, and provided wasp spray under the sink in case they returned. Dish soap, sponges, and a drying rack were also available under the sink and noted in the welcome book. Regarding the range, one burner had come loose, but it has since been adjusted and is working properly. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention and hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable.

Best time ever

Truly enjoyed our stay. Quiet area. Loved going back into the retro era!! Comfortable, relaxing, and fun.Only down was no direct lake access where we stayed. Had to go 1/2 mile to get to lake, which was not a game changer. We still loved it and will definitely return. Terri was great and communicated 100%. More people should consider this place it is fantastic!!

Very well appointed, clean comfortable. Nice outdoor deck plenty of hot water for showers etc. great hosts. Everything you might need is there. Didn’t use hot tub, but looked inviting. We had 2 pickups and 2 boats,we had to be creative with parking. Hosts offered alternatives to accommodate us. Great for couples with kids. Bunk beds in second bedroom but we made them work. We are all in our 70’s. It was a good stay!
