The location couldn’t be beat! The room was clean, but small. It’s an older building, with some older building issues. Overall a great property! I highly recommend.

A perfect place to stay after seeing a show at MSG. Easy walk from Penn Station/MSG with tons of places to eat and shop nearby. Good use of space in the room and it was immaculately clean. I loved having the separation between the two sleeping spaces. Hardly any street noise. The perfect home base, would stay again.

I hesitate to leave this review because Alexander (our contact) was extremely pleasant and responsive in our communications prior to arrival in NYC; and I was a Short Term Rental host myself for many years and know how important good reviews are. I don’t take submitting a a negative review lightly. That being said, I want to make sure anyone doing their due diligence research on stays in NYC has some input on my experience with Mansfield Residences. My main message is that the photos are very misleading. In them, the facility and rooms appear to be bright and airy and they would be expected to be clean and comfortable as well. This was not the case. The Mansfield Residences were very cramped (cozy), dark, dank, had a musty smell, and did not give off the feeling of being well maintained or clean. They were an extreme disappointment. I can only review the rooms, our impression of the hallways, and reception because we immediately made a reservation at a different hotel and left first thing in the morning. We just chalked it up to experience and did not expect nor request a refund or compensation (this is not a retaliatory review). There may be some pleasant accommodations at the Mansfield, but what was offered to us not up to standards.

Location was very convenient. We walked to most areas and saved a good amount on Ubers. The unit was surprisingly quiet. This is on the 10th floor, so thank goodness for the elevator! There are two rooms, both have beds in them. You have to walk through one room to get to the bathroom. So biggest negative was there isn’t much privacy. Also the blinds were missing pieces. Since there are people and buildings right across and beside you, would have been nice for working window coverings for privacy. Other than that, the beds were comfortable. We didn’t have any problems accessing our room, so no need to reach out to the host. So we didn’t have any communication.

We were in a girls trip if 5. It was a little crowded, but knew beforehand it would be with 5. The gentleman that checked us in was great. We arrived in town early and was able to check in our room early. Great stay. No complaints.

GREAT location, responsive host, nice building with clean facilities. The room is quite large and we comfortably slept 5. The additional twin bed is a real mattress and bed frame which was very nice. Of note, only the living room had a wall ac, so we kept the French doors open to circulate air. The bathroom was functional but quite small, with no ventilation beyond a small window that needed to be propped open, but it worked well enough for us. Highly recommend!

We stayed in this cozy two-bedroom apartment for one night and really enjoyed it. The space was very clean, and we were even able to check in early at no extra cost, which was a nice surprise. Another bonus was that no incidental hold was required. While the building and apartment are older, they have a lot of authentic charm — it truly feels like living in your own New York City apartment during your stay. I would definitely recommend this location!

The property is in a superb location, just a few blocks from Times Square, which is definitely the biggest advantage. The place was clean and the check-in process was very easy, which made arriving stress-free. That said, the accuracy of the online listing is a bit questionable. the photos make it look like a spacious apartment, but in reality, it feels quite cramped with barely any extra space. Overall, the location and price are the main selling points here. For a two bedroom place in this neighborhood, it's a reasonable deal - just don't expect the roomy space the pictures suggest.

Great location, clean room. The listing calls this a hotel, but it seems to function more as an apartment building of sorts. There are tenants that live there long term—this seems to be set up as a room that the owner is using to rent as a vacation property. There was never anyone at the desk. We had to call or text to communicate any needs. The owner usually responded in a reasonable amount of time. We took a red eye flight in and had planned to drop off our luggage until we checked in later in the afternoon. We were told that we could leave our luggage in the study, which was an area near the entry door. The entry does require a code, but we weren’t comfortable leaving our luggage in an unsecured area. Too much coming and going to leave valuables unsupervised. (They did tell us they had a security camera, so if you’re comfortable with that, you could leave your luggage in that space until check-in.) We had carry on luggage, so we hauled it around the city with us until check-in. The host did work to accommodate a slightly earlier check-in time since we weren’t comfortable leaving our luggage.Location is great if you are in town for Broadway shows. Great food options in the area as well. Try Emmy Squared Pizza—you won’t regret it!This space would be ideal for a small family. We laughed a lot about two adult couples sharing a tiny bathroom with swinging doors that don’t lock. We called it a trust bathroom.Not a hotel, but good price for what you get.

Some difficulties with host communication beforehand. Excellent location!! Quiet, nice, clean atmosphere. You can drop off luggage early and store in a luggage room in lobby.
