This place was great! The photos undersell how cute the house is, the wonderful seating by the shore and lovely view from the deck. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to cook anything, and the house is comfortable in every way.

Our family had a great experience at the property. The house had everything we needed and was extremely clean, the kitchen was well supplied. We loved the views, our favorite was sitting on the back porch, watching the tides at the ocean Inlet rolling in and out through throughout the day.The house was secluded enough for our liking, but close enough to drive to all the attractions we wanted to visit in the area, specifically Acadia national park and Bar Harbor.Overall we had a great experience and would recommend staying at this property.

Lovely

For our first trip to Maine, we were thrilled to find this gem of a home. Such a beautiful, peaceful location and the home was perfect inside and out. Immaculately clean, with all the comforts of home. The view cannot be beat. Great location. Secluded yet close to anything you might need. Hosts were so accommodating and responsive.

Thank you, Kathleen. You and your husband were perfect guests. We’re very happy you chose our home for your first visit to Maine. Most importantly, we’re glad you enjoyed the experience. There’s so much to do and see in Maine, which in addition to the people, is the reason we bought our house there. I hope you’ll come back. Enjoy the summer. John and Mary

The house was very well stocked. We bought live lobster and there was a big pot for us to cook them in and the pot had the crackers inside the pan. It was also nice sitting outside on the deck overlooking the water. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We could not have been happier with our stay - it was wonderful. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need and then some - the gift bag with Maine specialties was amazing. We loved watching the lobster fishermen setting their traps in the morning as we drank our coffee on the deck. The location to visit both parts of Acadia was perfect. Communication was excellent and always prompt. I am still a bit sad about having to leave our perfect Maine vacation! Do not hesitate to stay at the Silver Raven - you will be so happy you did.

This property is as described. It is very clean, comfortable and nicely laid out. John the host was very responsive to any questions or needs. The location worked well for our family. It is close to Ellsworth grocery stores and not too far from Acadia activities. There is no AC in the house so it can get warm later in the day(we picked some of the hottest days this summer). This wasn’t a problem for us because we were out in the evenings and the cool Maine nights helped get the house temp down with the provided fans. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the Silver Raven was everything we hoped for and more. When we first discovered it on VRBO there was only one review, a 10/10. I was a little skeptical at first but as time went on waiting for our turn, more and more reviews came in all the same.My family and I are so grateful to John & Mary for allowing us to share in their blessing. My wife and i have been visiting this area for decades and I can truly say this home is the most well equipped, cleanest, comfortable, relaxing place we have stayed in. We definitely hope to return for a longer stay. Again, Thank you John & Mary for your hospitality. The little "Goody Bag" was a nice touch."Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."Hebrews 13:2 NT

We loved staying here. What a great way to start the morning —coffee on the deck while looking at the water. What a great house and the hosts are so kind and welcoming. Great recommendations in their welcome booklet. We really had a nice relaxing time in Maine. Thank you
