Cette maison de 120 ans, entièrement rénovée, est située à quelques minutes du centre-ville de Cincinnati et est adjacente à la ville pittoresque de Bellevue Kentucky et à la zone de divertissement de Newport sur le Levy. Vous aurez un accès facile à tout ce que la région de Cincinnati a à offrir et vous pourrez vous rendre aux stades et à la plupart des autres attractions du centre-ville en 10-15 minutes! Il y a beaucoup de Uber, Lyfts et navettes dans la région pour un accès facile au centre-ville et aux attractions environnantes. En route pour Paul Brown ou le Great American Ball Park? Queen City Riverboats fournit des navettes à tous les matchs à domicile des Reds et des Bengals depuis Newport, dans le Kentucky (à 5 minutes de route de la maison), jusqu'aux atterrissages au bord de la rivière et aux stades de Cincinnati.
La maison est affectueusement appelée la baleine grise parce qu’elle est «aussi grosse qu’une baleine»! Il est joliment décoré et comprend deux salons, deux vérandas, deux cuisines, six grandes chambres, trois salles de bain complètes, une salle à manger, une salle de billard et une salle de jeux au troisième étage avec jeu de palets et trois futons. C'est très confortable pour un grand groupe ou plusieurs familles! Il y a des planchers de bois franc remis à neuf, des plafonds de 10 pieds et plus, tous les nouveaux appareils ménagers, toute la nouvelle plomberie et tous les nouveaux systèmes de CVC.

Vous pourrez également profiter d'une belle cour clôturée avec une terrasse extérieure, un gril à gaz et un foyer au propane. Pour votre confort, il y a une laveuse et une sécheuse au sous-sol.
Nous sommes près d'une voie de train, vous entendrez donc parfois le vacarme d'un train.

Nous sommes situés dans un quartier en plein essor avec un mélange de jeunes professionnels et de gens de la classe ouvrière. Ce n'est pas la banlieue, mais est un quartier résidentiel urbain sûr à 3 miles du centre-ville de Cincinnati. Nos co-hôtes, Adam et Tara, habitent à un pâté de maison et adorent l’emplacement. Ils peuvent donner de bonnes recommandations locales.

Celebration of the life of our brother

Even though the reason for being together was not the happiest, the host made it brighter. They allowed more than the reserved amount a little time to gather, share stories and just be together after attending services for our brother. I appreciated that so much. I would definitely stay there again. First time in that particular location but it was perfect.

Family celebration

This is a great property to host a large group. Multiple gathering spaces on two floors, two fully equipped kitchens, ample bedrooms and bathrooms. Hosts very responsive and accommodating to special requests. The location is great, easy access to interstate and 10 minutes or less from locations in Cinncinnati or Northern Kentucky

Great for multi family groups, we were able to spread out and have some quiet spaces. The house is well equipped with bath and kitchen items and suggestions from the hosts. Only minus--the grill is pretty rusted out , probably needs to be replaced.

Thanksgiving Family Reunion

This property worked great for our side of my family (15 of us) to be near my brother’s family(19). We were able to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner together in their homes and host a few get togethers at the Grey Whale. The house was spacious, well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the local shopping and restaurants plus the nearby ferry ride to a Steelers/Bengals game!

Great for Groups

A group of us were in town for NCECA, the annual ceramic conference. The Gray Whale was perfect for our group. We used the downstairs for our communal space and the upstairs for quieter conversations. The location was only three miles from the convention center and has several restaurants and businesses nearby. We all agreed we would definitely book this accommodation again if we were to find ourselves back in Cincinnati in the future.

Great place for families with kids

We loved our stay at this home. Two families with a total of 7 kids stayed, one on each floor, and we all had a blast. The owners were super responsive and attentive to every detail. The house is gorgeous inside, beautifully decorated, even better than the pictures. We had plenty of space to relax and play. The kitchens are well-equipped and the owners thought of so many details that made our stay comfortable - lots of plush towels, blankets, A/C, an alarm security system, Netflix on the TV upstairs, flashlights, even baskets of toys for young kids. A great place to stay!

We loved the arrangement of living quarters and the room for plenty to choose where to sleep. However, for older groups, you may want to consider adding more lighting at the stairs. We had two instances where a couple of people almost fell because they couldn't see where the steps met the landing. The house was VERY clean, and the managers were quick to respond when we had a problem. We would stay at the Gray Whale again if the opportunity arises!

Perfect for Family Gathering

My family and I rented this house last month to gather family from around the country for my Dad's funeral. It was truly perfect. It was clean and cheerful. During a sad time for our family it enabled us to spend real time together. I know my Dad would have loved it. Loads of dishware and extra beds in every closet. Games for Kids and Adults. Even a backyard for them to play in. Thank you for making our weekend as pleasant as possible.

We selected the Gray Whale for our Girls Week house this year. It was a great choice for us! The house was spacious, clean, and well supplied. We had enough beds for the 7 of us. There were 2 living areas so one could get away to read or relax when needed. We spent a large amount of time in the evening utilizing the first-floor dining area for playing games. It suited our needs. The location is fantastic. It was close to everything we wanted to see and do in Bellevue, Covington, Florence, and the Cincinnati area. Who knew there were so many things to do in Cincinnati! Communication with the hosts was wonderful. Check-in and Check-out were both easy. We would highly recommend the Gray Whale when you are in the Cincinnati area.

Fantastic stay for large group

We used this location as one of two properties for bringing a large group down to northern Kentucky for 2-3 days of activities and couldn't have been happier. The home lived up to our expectations and our communications with the host were by far the best I've experienced with VRBO. I can't say enough what a help the hosts were and would recommend them and their properties to anyone! If you're in the Cincy/N Kentucky area and need a space for a group or large family gathering, you'll find this will fit the bill!

Bachelor party weekend.

House was exactly what we expected. Clean, plenty of space for the 12 of us with rooms to spare. Definitely will keep this place in mind again for somewhere to stay that’s close to Cincinnati.

Hello and welcome to our property! The Gray Whale is owned by Steve and Linda. They have been married for 30+ years and have two daughters, two son in laws, and three grandchildren. After a 10 year stint in the 80s in sunny California, Steve and Linda returned back to Cincinnati to raise their family. Steve and and Linda are retired. They own four short term rental properties in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area and love interacting with all of the groups that come to their homes.

The property is managed by myself, Tara, and my husband Adam (Steve and Linda's daughter and son-in-law). You can see our profile picture of the four of us at our wedding! We will be communicating with you before, during, and after your stay. My husband and I are both in education, he is a 5th grade social studies teacher and I am a school counselor. We live in Northern Kentucky and love to help my parents host so many great groups of people. We spend most of our free time working on our 125 year old house, and exploring all of the sights and sounds NKY has to offer.
