The home was wonderful. Rich in character and history. The kitchen was well stocked. The fireplace was wonderful in creating the atmosphere along with the picturesque windows. Thank you for sharing your family history with us. The library of books was tremendous.

This is an amazing home that gave us everything we could possibly need. It's the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. It had everything we could possibly need and the host was quickly available to answer any question we had. The home itself is very unique---it has a very comfortable feel and a warm family frendly feeling.

We were beyond happy with Sunnybrook! The location is simply amazing! It is quiet and relaxing. There is nothing other than your food you need, it is the best equipped place I’ve ever stay. The owner was so accommodating and kind. This place is loved and it shows. We can’t wait to visit again. This home made our week so special.

Our son was getting married at The Salem Cross Inn so we needed a place nearby where everyone could gather. Sunnybrook house was perfect. Plenty of room for the rehearsal dinner on the patio w/firepit (we ordered pizza and wings from Northeast pizza) excellent service for lg orders. My sister and i needed our hair done for the wedding, Kozy Kuts down the street did a great job! Sunnybrook house is remarkable, the grounds are beautiful and kept up, nice for strolling around. The house is filled with books and art in every corner. Nice kitchen and very accomadating!

Our family needed a place to stay for a few days while we attended my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding at the nearby Salem Cross Inn. The location of the property was absolutely ideal and set in a peaceful country setting. Great area for walking and if you’d rather sit and relax a nice outdoor patio is part of the property. Both the owner and her daughter were responsive to our communications prior to and during our stay.The interior space presents interesting artwork, walls of books and various other items that add to the whole experience of your stay. The layout provides plenty of room for large families to gather. Much thanks to the host for enhancing greatly our time in the area !

An artist’s retreat!

This is such a beautiful retreat, inside and out. Had the weather been better, we’d had spent more time enjoying the patio! The inside is thoughtfully put together and there is so much to see that in a week I didn’t come close. It is super comfortable with all the necessaries easily accessible. Communication was prompt and kind. Five stars also for privacy and cleanliness. Totally recommend and would 100% stay again!

Family gathering - celebration of life

Our 3 children and their kids ages 4months to 12 years thoroughly enjoyed the property. The home is a well maintained, fascinating property inside and out. We all enjoyed the outdoor spaces for yard games, hiking and relaxing and the inside is just a story in and of itself - bookshelves lined with amazing works, antiques, tapestries and the family of chess players spent hours on the multiple tables. The views from the library and back porch/office almost made me wish for a rainy day to stay inside and enjoy. Gail and her daughter we available at a moment’s notice with any questions we had - thanks for sharing your amazing home!!

A home filled with love and art

This is a special place. It is obvious how much it has been loved by the owners for many years. It is filled with art, books, and unique objects from around the world. It is a wonderful place for family gatherings, with five bedrooms and many different areas to hang out. We played croquet and board games and roasted marshmallows around a fire. We explored the property a bit. Watch out for poison ivy if you do that! Our dog jumped right in a pond. He didn’t realize how deep it was!

Even better than we’d hoped for

We had the most amazing time at Gail’s place. It was even more special, more beautiful, cozy and welcoming than the pictures or descriptions could capture. It is a home, in the very best of ways. Especially in early Spring volatile weather, when it was perfect to be cozy inside, cook, play games, rest. The beds were all comfortable, as was the seating, the space. Kitchen stocked, bathrooms abundant, and everything exceptionally clean. I almost recommended coming when the weather is bad, to take advantage of this special home! We really really hope to be back, in all of the season!

I don't have enough words to describe how perfect this stay was for me and my family! My partner and I had been looking for the perfect spot to have a small intimate wedding with just our immediate families. We found Sunnybrook, fell in love with the pictures and the yard on the listing, and decided this was it! But no review or photo will do this place justice! This was by far the best rental I, or any of us, have ever stayed in. There were no "I wish I had this," or "we forgot to bring x,y,z." It was all there, and more. We felt like we were at an old friend's house. It is a home that is a hug. All details were immaculate, incredibly well stocked kitchen, wonderfully sized bedrooms with everything provided, LOVED all the different areas to sit and converse, play games, etc. There were outdoor games provided to play in the immaculate yard(s)! The patio was a lovely spot to sit, have coffee, and watch the hummingbirds/bees/butterflies. The house had the most beautiful antique pieces, art work, little details that were so appreciated! Gail and Dakota were absolutely FANTASTIC! Wonderful and accommodating both before and during our stay. We got to meet and chat with Dakota, hearing a bit more about the history of the house, which only made us love it more! We couldn't have picked a better spot for our stay, or to get MARRIED!! This house will forever hold a special place in all of our hearts. We feel so lucky that this home is being shared, and could not recommend it more!
