The coastal studio includes chic décor and gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico. This vacation rental includes a kitchenette, two entertainment centers, and private balcony with views of the glistening Gulf of Mexico. The bathroom includes a luxurious garden tub and large walk-in shower.

This corner unit offers an expansive private balcony with patio furniture and overlooks one of the many resort swimming pools on the Gulf side of Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. Daily linen exchange available (upon request)

    The couch and bed were awful, when you opened the couch to a bed the mattress was literally flat as a comforter and your head was tilted below your body, it was awful!!!!! We spent t much money to not be able to sleep. The property is getting old and needs updating

    Close to the beach but misleading information

    Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were some things about this property I felt were misleading. We wanted an oceanview but this was not it! You could barely see a tiny piece of ocean. The room was run down as far as wear and tear and wasn’t very clean. The pull out bed was very uncomfortable and livery loud when moving. The checkout time was also stated at two different times. The booking says 11:00 but the text message says 10:00. It was very close to the beach and good restaurants so that was a plus!

    Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What I liked: The property was easy to find, the condo was really clean, with cold AC and great water pressure. It's also within walking distance of 4 different restaurants, and if you want to drive somewhere else, it's not really that far, just a lot of heavy traffic to deal with, especially in the afternoon hours. This is a great family-friendly spot with multiple pools and easy beach access. What I feel others should know: I'm not gonna say I didn't like anything, as it was just my wife and I, but it could have been a little aggravating had we taken another couple with us. This condo is not a one-bedroom; everything is open, so privacy is not gonna happen, even in the bathroom. The ocean view isn't really an ocean view. You can see the water, but just a little bit through the palm trees. Unfortunately, a large trash container is parked right outside on the adjacent property, but fortunately, it didn't have a smell. The rock waterfall picture is misleading because it is no longer there. Also, the patio door doesn't close all the way, so you can't lock it, not that you have to worry about anyone coming in that way. We did share this information, so hopefully they'll get that fixed soon. Other than that, we had a great time, and for the price, it was definitely worth every penny. One last thing to mention, Victoria, with the reservation staff, was fantastic and very easy to communicate with through text messaging.

    Beautiful resort with a great but a filthy condo

    Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Destin West is a beautiful resort with a wonderful staff. We were greeted with smiles by their friendly staff, every staff member was beyond courteous and helpful.The resort was safe and always clean.Our condo, on the other hand, was disgusting. We stayed at villa 301. Not sure when the unit was last cleaned. The counters were clean and trash removed but the walls were filthy, the curtains have stains on them,the refrigerator is covered in rust, there has been some work done to the walls and they haven't taken the time to paint where they work was completed so you can still see the materials used to patch the drywall. The bathroom floors were disgusting. The grout looks like it has never been cleaned and filled with filth.The bathroom has a window to where the bed is, you have no privacy while using the bathroom. There are no dressers or closets for clothes. The placement of this unit is also a problem. It is located on the 3rd floor between the sky walkway and elevator which we thought would be great. We were " ding dong ditched" 3 nights in a row until 11:30 pm.The beach is beautiful but, unless you rent the chairs and umbrellas from the rental company you can not sit close to the water. They set up 5 rows of chairs in the morning, whether or not they have been rented. To get to the water you have to squeeze in between the rental chair/umbrella's and it's a tight squeeze.Parking was ample and convenient to the unit. The resort had lots of carts for loading and unloading. I also liked that each guest wore a wristband for access to the resorts amenities.The resort is in a great location with lots of restaurants and shopping.We will be returning to Destin next summer but will be looking for another place to stay. Although the staff was amazing and the resort was very clean, I can not handle paying that much money for a condo on the beach and not being able to sit close to the water unless you spend the extra money on the privat
