Great location, within walking distance of The Silos. Host was responsive and check in was easy. Kitchen is minimally stocked so if you are one to use the kitchen you will likely not have what you need. There were only 4 dinner plates that we could find so we were glad we had cocktail napkins for our charcuterie, and if you like your wine out of a glass with a stem then you need to bring your own. Obviously just some first world problems. Over all a great place to stay!

Super cute house close to Silos

Super cute house that is walking distance to Silos and a great BBQ restaurant. Fun mix of modern and old for decor. I'm light sensitive so would have loved better window covering for door in bedroom, but by no means a deal breaker. We stayed in 3 different VRBOs over a 5 day trip to TX, and this was definitely our favorite!

Property was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to Magnolia. The Host went out of there way to ensure we were properly accommodated for. Instant communication with the host. I would give her an extra star if it was an option. I would highly recommend staying here if you visit Waco. You’ll be in good hands and we will be going back soon.

Parking was easy and secure. The house was so close to the Silos which made walking there very easy! We didn’t cook much - mostly ate out - but it was a cute kitchen! The only small issue we had was the door was very tricky to lock/unlock. Could have used a quick tutorial on how to lock/unlock the door from inside AND outside the house! Loved our time in Waco - such a neat town! Jessie was super responsive to every question I asked! We would stay here again!

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Cameron Bell 940.297.5171

Image de profil de l’hôte
Tucked away in the heart of Waco, Texas, the Dogtrot Hotel isn't just a place to crash, it's a vibe. Designed and built by the wildly talented husband-and-wife duo, Cameron and Jessie Bell, this boutique hotel is where modern design meets old-school Texas charm.

Inspired by the classic dogtrot-style homes of the South (think breezy, open-air spaces meant to keep things cool before A/C was a thing), the Bells put their own creative spin on it. The result? A stunning, minimalist getaway that feels equal parts cozy and effortlessly stylish.

Every detail from the sleek interiors to the thoughtfully designed communal space reflects their passion for architecture, storytelling, and that perfect mix of form and function. Whether you are in Waco for the Baylor Bears, Magnolia magic, or just a weekend escape, the Dogtrot Hotel delivers a stay that is perfectly comfortable.

Cameron and Jessie didn't just build a home; they created an experience one that proves great design and Southern hospitality go hand in hand.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Cameron and Jessie Bell were lucky enough to be on the HGTV hit show, Fixer Upper. They had the amazing opportunity to work with Chip and Joanna Gaines on their first home, the Shotgun House. After going thru that experience, Cameron was up for the challenge to build a home himself! He quickly realized, it's easier when a TV show does it but it's been a FUN ride all the same.
