Experience Milwaukee like a local in this 2-bedroom house. This enchanting property listed on the National Historic Register is a side by side duplex in a residential area with one half available (no common areas). Downstairs is a comfortable living room with large natural gas fireplace, a dining room with seating for 6, a fully equipped kitchen and full downstairs bath with shower and full size laundry. Upstairs features 1 queen bed in the front bedroom and 1 full bed in the middle bedroom. There is also a music room with vinyl and a growing collection of records. There is a full bath upstairs with tub/shower, . All bedding, towels, and soaps are provided with plenty of extras.

Off street parking is limited by size, free on street parking is available but an on-line permit is needed. I can help with that.

With amenities like fiber WiFi, streaming 50 inch TV, AC, private patio with gas fire pit and and Webber grill guests can relax and unwind in this cozy space. Book now and enjoy everything this house has to offer.

This property provides a unique and tranquil stay 8 blocks from Lake Michigan and 5 blocks from the Milwaukee River and bike path. Located a block from UWM and close to Oakland Ave dining and shops.

David is an exceptional host to this beautiful one-of-a-kind home on Milwaukee’s historic east side. The house exudes charm and comfort and no detail was spared in thoughtful amenities including snack items in the fridge, a beautiful patio and fire pit, and a music room full of classic old vinyls that also served as a yoga or exercise room. The storybook setting coupled with great hosts made for a fabulous stay! Highly recommended!

Beautiful home close to UW. This house is quiet and well maintained. David was really great at communicating with us before and urging the stay. You can tell a lot of thought has been put into the home so that guest have a comfortable stay. I would recommend this house for any stay in Milwaukee.

We had the most wonderful time. Our hosts, David and Ellen, were helpful with recommendations to excellent restaurants. The patio was a wonderful place for morning coffee and making plans for our day. The historic property is inetesting but making our stay more enjoyable was Ellen’s art work through this lovely place. I look forward to staying there again.

If you want a beautifully appointed, comfortable, and welcoming space, this is it! Hosts are amazingly helpful and kind. This is a superb location allowing for access to the lake, river, and green spaces plus bars, coffee shops, and more. Highly recommended!

Wonderful space, and even more wonderful Hosts(David and Ellan), we loved having our meals on the back patio, wonderful flowers, Ellan and David were right next door, and we loved visiting with them, when we arrived, they were so welcoming, and they had stocked the fridge with many yummy items, Staying here made our trip even more memorable, Would stay again any time

A beautiful castle/house that is cozy and full of charm. It was also well stocked with all the comforts needed while we were away from home. The owners are onsite and very nice too! It was the perfect place to stay during our wedding in Milwaukee

Had the most relaxing weekend in this historic home. The hosts thought of everything. Fully stocked coffee & tea station then there were snacks in the fridge. It was a nice surprise. Super friendly & accommodating. Great communication. Decor was homey & comfy. Flowed perfectly with the vibe of the house.

Our Milwaukee trip for a family 50th Wedding Anniversary was made even more special by this truly lovely place. It exceeded our expectations with its thoughtful touches, like breakfast items ready in the fridge. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and simply enjoyed the beauty of the house itself. A truly wonderful experience!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The home was safe, spotless, and located in a very nice neighborhood. You can tell the owner has put a huge amount of thought into making guests comfortable — the house was incredibly well stocked with anything we might have needed during our stay, with thoughtful consideration for the fact that guests are away from home. One example was a cookbook filled with simple crockpot recipes using minimal ingredients, which was such a clever and welcoming touch.The little details made the stay extra special, especially the delicious lemon scones waiting for us.We reached out to David twice, and he was incredibly responsive both times. He went above and beyond to help us secure a street parking pass for our truck, and he generously told us we could stay beyond checkout if needed.Most of all, he was just a genuinely friendly and cool guy who clearly cares about his guests having a great experience.The house itself was whimsical, charming, and so much fun. We especially loved the music room with the fantastic selection of vinyl albums and turntable. The beautiful green chandelier added so much character, and the beds were extremely comfortable.We would absolutely stay here again.

This place is exceptional! The property itself has architectural interest and a beautiful garden and patio. Inside, it's attractively decorated with lots of artwork and plants. Having 2 BAs is a definite plus when traveling with family. The hosts could not be more gracious and thoughtful -- from putting up a baby gate for our 2 y.o. granddaughter to providing a generous selection of breakfast items and coffee choices. It felt like we were staying at a friend's home.
