Escape to this adorable house along the coast between Morro Bay and Cayucos. Morro Strand beaches are a 5-10 minute walk and hiking trails to Hang Glider Hill start a couple blocks away. This cute house features an open floor plan, with a beautiful kitchen island that is central to the dining area and living room. The kitchen is stocked with all the cookware and dishes needed for entertaining a small group of family or friends on their special getaway.. There are two cozy bedrooms, each with a very comfortable queen bed and quality bedding. The small bathroom is unique with vintage tropical tile and a rain shower head. There is free wifi and a 55” Smart TV in the living room with an electric fireplace for chilly nights or foggy days. BBQ on the front deck or sit and relax in the private back garden. It is a very quiet neighborhood, sounds carry, and the 10 pm noise ordinance is strictly enforced. Please no outside conversations or activities after 10 pm.

What a delightful place! We loved the comfort and coziness of the house and the lovely view of Morro Rock. We especially appreciated the small touches that made our stay a little easier: robes and socks, well-stocked kitchen, extra blankets, etc. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

We had a feeling this was the perfect place for to stay for our annual couples trip and we were absolutely right! The ocean views are beautiful, the sunsets were gorgeous. The host were super responsive and even provided us with a customized list of recommendations of things to do during our stay. The home was very comfortable, spacious and clean. We had everything we needed! The neighbors were so friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Great little place

Great little spot themed to enjoy the beach with good amenities and notes for the area. This is a great location close Morro Bay to enjoy the pace of Cayucos while checking out all the other areas.

This was such a cute house to stay in. The neighborhood was quiet, people were friendly, the view was beautiful. House was equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our time there, even some little items that were kindly thought of were available. The beds were very comfy as well. Owners were wonderful with communication and had shared all lovely recommendations for the weekend trip. The kids had a blast feeding the chickens, and so did I. We will definitely be recommending StarLitSands and hopefully we will be back soon

Amazing place and view!

The place was absolutely delightful and nicely decorated. The view of Morro Rock and the ocean was beautiful. I really appreciated the touches of beautiful art and well-stocked kitchen. The location was peaceful and close to visit Hearst Castle, Morro Bay fisherman’s wharf and San Luis Obispo. My family will definitely be back. This was a beautiful property in a nice and quiet established neighborhood. Perfect for sitting on the deck and enjoying the ocean view. There was literally no amenity that we could’ve added. The host thought of everything. Definitely a location we will visit again.

Wonderful property to stay at while visiting Morro Bay, Cayucos or surrounding areas. This property accommodated our modified check-in and check-out times. Our group of friends cooked family-style meals together and the house had all the equipment and tools we needed. Our host Cristi communicated well with us and offered suggestions for the local farmer’s market. The chickens were a nice surprise and we even got a couple of eggs! Neighbors were kind and friendly as well. Would recommend this property for future stays. The pictures don’t do it justice!

I feel like it was a huge blessing that I found this weekend rental when making last minute plans on a holiday weekend! It was a great rate, and we really just needed a home away from home, my family and I. The owners reached out shortly after I booked and were awesome, they stayed in communication with me and i appreciated it so much. They had thought of everything we needed to have a stress free weekend, board games and comfy furniture, lots of hikes in the area, what a gem! It was beautiful and so many personal touches to the home and property. We loved the full Kitchen and I was not expecting the perfect view of Morro rock, while sitting on the couch! Don’t take this listing for granted, it’s a beautiful stay.

We had an all around excellent experience at Star Lit Sands in Cayucos. Our reservation for the lovely 2 bedroom home was for 2 nights of graduation weekend, and we were slightly apprehensive because we had heard stories of outrageous pricing and last-minute cancellations from other families. We were fortunate with this booking because the house was perfect for our family--cute, clean, reasonably priced with clear instructions, a well-stocked kitchen, fantastic shower and most of all, very timely and helpful responses from one of the hosts, Christi. She was very warm, flexible, accommodating and even went out of her way to return a shirt we left in the rental home. We were very grateful to find this gem as a peaceful home base during a hectic weekend.
