Newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment in a private multi-family home. Clean, modern, and comfortable apartment with easy access to the rest of NYC. Home is located across the Ft. Independence Reservoir providing a serene water view. Enjoy the vast Van Cortland Park with its golf course and open fields. Enjoy the local dining experiences or venture into Manhattan if you prefer. There is easy access to a bus stop at the corner or the train a few blocks away but Ubers work well for your convenience.

Great sunny spacious and clean apartment for us to stay in when visiting family nearby. The hosts were super responsive whenever we had questions, and made our stay super seamless. Would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in town!

I had an amazing stay! Everything was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and very well put together. The host was extremely responsive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed from start to finish. 10/10 The only issue I noticed was it seemed linens were not clean or stained, no trash bags, and there were ants everywhere so we were bitten a little lol. Reached out and got a response very quickly with resolutions. I gave it a 10/10 because it was very spacious, beds so comfortable, clean spaces, safe neighborhood, left us a book with everything we may need to know, and they responded very fast to resolve any issues! Very kind and easy to communicate with!

Healthy restaurant options was challenging nearby and commute to sight seeing would have been very expensive with Uber and very stressful with traffic and long commute times. However our trip was made primarily for a track meet at The Armory Track - commute and cost via Uber to this location was acceptable. Otherwise everything was great - nice to have full kitchen and 2 bedrooms, spacious and comfortable. Communication with host was great. Nice running path across the street and around the reservoir.

The check in process was efficient. Dr. Eche accommodated us with an early check in due to our arrival time. The unit was well stocked with the essentials. Convenient location to the bus line and train station. Host responded in a timely manner to our questions which we appreciated.

This rental was updated, roomy, comfortable and immaculately clean. Staying here increased the breadth of our NYC experience. I very much appreciated that there was a bus line that would take us directly from Manhattan to a stop just a few houses away from the rental. Extra kudos to the rental manager who made a late night drop off a needed item within a short time of being contacted.

This place had a very nice set up and was super clean. The host was the best!!! I had a problem with the code multiple times and she was on it! She had someone that took cared of it right away. She also drove out so late to change the code because it was not cooperating. The nicest lady and a perfect spot. The entire house as soon as you enter is to par. It's very spacious and comfortable. I definitely recommend this place. You will be surprised and happy. Thank you for everything Dr Eche. I will definitely stay here again in the near future.

Homerun, pow!

This was a great experience. Eche was an incredible communicator and seized quickly on any request we had and got it sorted almost before the phone call ended. The apartment is clean and lovely with a seriously undersold view of the reservoir, which sparkled in the morning sunlight through the wall-to-wall windows. WE WILL BE RETURNING TO THIS PROPERTY. And We still can’t believe we were in the middle of the Bronx. Thanks, Eche!

As a traveler who has been using hosting sites for 15 years, it saddens me to leave my first neutral/negative review. There were a few major issues during our stay that caused us major inconveniences. In the interest of leaving a thorough & honest review, I’ll highlight some ofthe pros & cons of our experience.Pros:- the bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. - the kitchen was thoroughly stocked with appliances, spices, coffee & amenities- there were plenty of towels available for use.- check-in process was easy & seamless- apartment was only 10 min walk away from the redline train stationCons:- The first night we arrived, there was a large infestation of flies & gnats on the front door of the complex. Somehow by the 2nd night they got into the apartment & we had over 100 gnats and flies covering our walls, light fixtures and just generally being a nuisance. I messaged the owner & he was able to have someone swing by & spray an insect repellant the next morning, but the entrance, corridor & hall smelled like chemicals for the remainder of the stay. - whoever renovated this home into apartments did not install the door handles & latches correctly. Both the master bedroom door and both bathroom doors did not lock, which is very inconvenient if you are staying with friends or other family.- There was no deadbolt on the front door of the apartment, or any way to lock it from the inside allowing our toddler to walk out whenever he pleased

I will start with the positives. We were pleasantly surprised that it was reasonably quiet so getting to sleep was not a problem. We informed the hosts of 2 issues which were addressed effectively. There were plenty of towels for the shower. The kitchen had everything we needed. Communication was great. Access was easy.The word “luxury” used to describe this apartment is inaccurate. The 2 beds were comfortable but the sofa beds were not comfortable as either a sofa or a bed. All seating was actually uncomfortable so resting after activities was not ideal. It felt like an average VRBO listing with IKEA type furnishings.Notes for other travelers that we wish we knew beforehand. We did know there was no designated parking space but didn't realize public parking would be unattainable most of the time. You also have to walk up steep stairs to get to the apartment so it’s not ideal for all travelers.At the end of the day, we enjoyed our trip. The accommodations allowed for the necessities of a temporary dwelling and we didn’t have any major issues with the apartment.
