This place is amazing! We will be staying here every time we go to NY. The view is amazing (5th floor). Central Park is one light down, the bus stops at the corner, and subways at 110 and 116 are about a 2 minute walk. Roberto took care of everything, and he also rented me his Cadillac for a night. This is the only place that we’re going to stay in the city.

My friend and I stayed with our three sons, ages 18-21. Roberto was great and very communicative. He met us personally and gave us his parking space. The "boys" loved the entertainment options in the apartment. The access to subway and bus was excellent. So close to Central Park and beautiful views of the Harlem Meer. Great dining options, especially on Frederick Douglass Blvd. Several excellent traditional Harlem Soul Food restaurants nearby -- a real treat!

Roberto was very responsive and kind. The location is perfect. The living area is very very spacious — tons of room with giant couches - perfect for our group of girls to hang out after exploring the city. Great food within walking distance.

My stay at this condo was for my friends celebrating her birthday. Roberto was a great host, place is very clean. It is a little far from midtown but subways can take you straight there and ubers are always available. Would definitely stay again!

A luxurious getaway

I rented the unit for two nights for my birthday weekend. My friends were very impressed with how fancy the place is, and how little it cost compared to the average Manhattan suite. I always felt right at home there, and I would definitely stay there again.

Black Artists Visit the Met

Came from Rochester, NY to see the Harlem Renaissance exhibit at the Met, a first ever! It was important to me to book nice space in Harlem, so I did and we enjoyed our stay a lot!

Bad experience

Getting the key was a challenge. Then when we went inside the apartment there was a strong pot smell. Most of the wi do ere open, candles going and air fresheners. I assume to co we the small.

You followed zero instructions on how and where to pick up the key. All previous guest had absolutely no issue checking in. You didn’t follow the simple instructions given. Also I never heard someone complain about candles and air fresheners being on in an apartment that was freshly cleaned for you. The apartment didn’t smell like anything but candles and air fresheners but your saying it smelled like something else? Very misleading review on your end. You told me you had an amazing stay and you already booked future dates. Very hurtful for you to leave a very false review

Not the greatest experience

The good: close to Central Park and host was very responsive. The apartment was clean and the towels were nice. The apartment is gated for additional security. The not so good: There were flies in the apartment and the neighborhood was not the best. Many of the light switches and fixtures did not work, nor did the hair dryer. The apartment was clean, but definitely needed updating. There was no dining table, no instructions for the TV, the toilet seat was peeling and loose. Overall did not feel comfortable there and cut our trip short.

Didn’t even stay more than 15 minutes after being there.

This was not a good place for my family and I. Place was not in a great area, the bathroom was very old and dated and not very clean. No ice in the freezer.We contacted property owner who was very nice and quick to be in touch about 10-15 minutes after being there. When we stayed we would not be staying there Inasked him if he could help with any kind of refund. He said he would contact VRBO to ask for a refund and that he was fine with it but that never happened so we wasted 1300 on a place we stayed at for 15 minutes.Probably good place for a couple of guys getting together but not for a family with a young kid.

Description is misleading

Property was adequate however the description is dramatically misleading. "Steps from Times Square" is 3.5 miles away. "Elegant dining table" is folded up and in a closet and we didn't know it was there until I asked about it. "Iconic city view" is the building across the street and nothing more. The "private balcony" is the fire escape and you climb out a window to get to it. Shower was dirty. Multiple listed amenities were not true - no onsite gym, no game room - those amenities have since been removed from the listing. Lot of street noise and elevator noise - bring ear plugs

Blocks from Central Park, this location is a 20-30 minute drive from Time Square and other Manhattan attractions. There is DEFINITELY potential here for the future, but currently, it is lacking. While uncluttered, it needs a deep cleaning and regular cleanings between stays. Personal items (like loofahs and used bars of soap) should be removed before someone stays. It is in need of some regular maintenance: The shower has no water pressure, and both the bathroom and kitchen sink are stopped up. The toilet handle has to be jiggled repeatedly to stop running. The small table in the kitchen will tip over your food if you bump it wrong. We had to put together the second bedroom’s air conditioner, ourselves, once we found the connection pipe wipe while looking for cleaning supplies for the kitchen. Though not the fault of the host, the air filtration system in this complex is lacking, and the smell of marijuana is strong the second you step into the building. The apartment smelled like smoke (both cigarette and marijuana), and it worsened over our stay there. For people with smoke sensitivities, it is a nightmare. To top it off, the smoke alarm outside the apartment chirped the entire time we were there. The host and the people we met in and around the complex were nice. We hope they can turn this around for the future.

You complained about things that have never been a problem at my property. Why? You asked to bring extra guest at the apartment that weren’t on the reservation. Please don’t complain about things that aren’t true :)
