The location was great and the apt was spacious. However, the apt is a bit outdated and needed maintenance. Everything was still functional but the lock for one of the bathrooms was on the outside (not fun being locked in the bathroom by a toddler) and the floors were not really clean. We ended up buying some slippers to wear during our stay. They only offer one trash bag for the week so we ended up buying some of our own. Some of the decor creeped me out a bit, like the old porclein dolls in the china cabinent and the Victorian painting in the bedroom. Overall, the stay was fine and we still had a great vacation.

We were able to check in late upon our arrival despite the office scrambling to find out reservations as they don’t manage this property we stayed at. Finally they decided to call the owner after I had to look up the contact information for them. We found the rental easily but were met by a musty smell upon opening the door. Possibly because it hadn’t been occupied or because of the older appearance as it wasn’t super updated like other units. The power recliner per listing description is not located anywhere in the building. The “new couch” that arrived in May is definitely far from new every vision has a large stain on it. There isn’t a spot on the couch that doesn’t have a stain. The floors must have been cleaned by the vacuum that was left in a closet because we tried to use it and it just spits dirt everywhere. We also had to wash the bed sheets upon our arrival because they were littered in sand. The shower was filled with hair and half the lights and worked in the master bath.ale sure you wear shoes or socks you can bleach because despite the floors appearing clean (other than crumbs) your feet will be black after walking around because the floors need a good scrub. The fridge and freezer don’t get cleaned either. Makes no sense to pay a cleaning fee even though we were told everything was shiny clean. See attached photos for more details

It was a good location for what we needed. But it was a sad property, it needs so many updates. The beds were not very comfortable, and the smaller bedroom did not have an air conditioner, it got very stuffy, had to keep the door open. The bathrooms both need redone. And the condo was not very clean, when we walked around without our socks our feet were very dirty. The kitchen faucet was not even fastened to sink top. When we opened the coffee maker there was an old filter with moldy coffee grounds inside, very gross. And we didn't like being accused of stealing one pillow sham from the owner, when she called hours after we left. We definitely were not happy with what we got for the price!

Wells, ME condo 8-2024

Location was great and both indoor and outdoor pools were ideal. Property had not been cleaned upon arrival but owner refunded us the cleaning fee. Size of the property was perfect for families with children. Kitchen had everything we needed. Dining table and chairs were quite wobbly and a few of the chairs had seats that were not attached to the chair base.

Hi Kathy The cleaning girl had an emergency. She was tied up at the emergency room with her daughter. When I spoke to you on the phone, you said that was no problem, and I offered to pay you which I did. You paid $150 cleaning fee and I reimbursed you $250 that’s an extra hundred dollars for the inconvenience. The cleaning did show up, but it was late and she clean the bathrooms in the bedrooms As far as you having a problem with the chairs, you should’ve called me. I would’ve had maintenance go right over if something came loose always call. I gave you my direct phone number.

Fit our vacation needs

Overall a good stay- one small issue when checking in… check in was listed at 2pm and we knew we would be getting in later due to a pit stop we made on the way up. Through messaging the host we knew the front office was open til 10pm. Arrived at 5:30pm and was told that the room was not ready yet due to them not being told by the owner that we were coming until last minute. They told us it would be another 30 minutes so we went grocery shopping. Came back about an hour later and the room still wasn’t ready. They let us drop off our stuff and we went to dinner - the room was finished by the time we got back but it was just a minor inconvenience. The rest of the week went well- hosts were available via messaging through the app if we had questions.

Enjoyable stay in Wells

The unit was very convenient to the area places we wanted to visit! First floor is always a plus....a stone's throw from the pool building was great for our teenage grandson to swim daily! The unit did look like the photos and had everything you could need, but is in need of a refresh in terms of furnishings...but I understand that renters often tend to not care about the property. All in all it was a pleasant four day getaway!...

My first time with a VRBO

Process went smoothly. Property manager did forgot to notify front desk of my arrival but with a quick phone call all was resolved. Place looked like online pictures. Everything was in working order. Great location.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. I only wish we could have bbq On our deck. It’s not allowed because Of fires. The resort has there own gas grills for all guest to use by the indoor pool. Hope you come again.

Wells Condo

While the property was in a nice location, we were expecting a trolley to take us to the local beach. Unfortunately it no longer runs and there is very limited parking at Wells Beach. The basics are included at the condo but you need to bring your own beach umbrella, cooler, sand toys, and rainy day games. Bring your own foil, saran wrap, spices, storage containers if you like to cook in; we left behind our extras for the next group. It was great to have a washer and dryer and a super hair dryer. Beds were comfortable. There were multiple hair and bath products to choose from if needed. We recommend a stop in Kennebunkport's Bennetts Sandwich Shop and HB General Store.

Hello Caroline, We do not provide seasoning and Saran wrap. Nor do we say that we do. Once seasonings are open the next guest May not feel comfortable using bottles that are open. I know I would not.. Sorry the trolly is not running. I was told They had to stop. They were running for years I hope they can get the help to restart the transporation. I just found this out.

Family vaca

It was a good location for us and we loved having pools for the grandkids. The condo was well stocked in the kitchen and linens. We thought there could be a little more care in the cleaning - items were under the bed, clothes and water bottles. Overall it was a good place for our us to spend tome with our family.

Good stay

It was at a nice location off the Main Street and only minutes away from Wells beach, many restaurants and stores. It was nice to be on the ground floor with nearby parking. The condo itself was good. I would recommend bringing your own linens, pillows etc. as well as bathroom tissue. I was there with my husband and 4 teenagers.

Summer vacation

This was perfect for our family vacation. The location is great because it is close to so many beaches and other activities. The indoor pool and hot tub was nice to unwind from our long days. Having a full kitchen to cook some of our meals was great as well. The unit was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. The only negative to our stay was the cleanliness of the property when we arrived. There was hair still in both showers and clumps on the floor, all the floors were sticky, kitchen table and counters were dirty, and the comforter and sheets on one bed had some questionable stains. Thankfully there is a washer and dryer on site so we were able to wash the bedding and clean the rest of the place our first day there (downside is we lost a day of our stay getting cleaning supplies and cleaning). I usually wouldn't complain about something that i can clean up myself, but it was dirty enough that the owner should know to maybe address concerns with cleaning staff. Overall it was a great little place for our family and we would definitely stay again! Thank you for sharing your space!

Hello Megan I was there when the cleaning company was Cleaning. All bedding was washed. The whole unit was cleaned. I saw her washing the floors. She used a special cleaner on the marble floors. I wonder if that was what was sticky. Once dry the shine was beautiful.. The bedding was all new when the previous guest arrived. That makes the bedding a week old when you arrived. You said you found hair in the bathroom I did not see that. I have reviewed all pictures That I took once the cleaning company was finished. And I do not see clumps of hair Anywhere. The kitchen counter and refrigerator and microwave was all cleaned. The table was Cleaned and polished. All furniture was polished.

Great space for family of 4

Really liked size of unit and location. Great location —quick walk to Dunkin and easy drive to stores and beaches. Had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Only negative is the place is a little dated (bathrooms had rusty shower curtain rod, peeling ceiling, partially tiled). Overall very pleased with our stay!

Hello Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I went up on Saturday to look over the bath room and I found the problem the tub in the condo upstairs was leaking. I called the office and they are going to take care of it.

Great vacation!!

Even with the rainy weather, we still had a blast. The indoor pool and hot tub were a life saver with my small children. Communication with this owner is always top notch. The place is clean, close to so many fun activities, great pools, and spacious. We already have next summer booked!

Great location, great space

We visited these installation ps many years ago with our children and my mom. The facilities where great for our group. In our last stay, we were again with a young child. The space is great. We were disappointed by the state of the apartment. Could have been cleaner and few updates would improve the first sight. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

My unit has been updated and it was professionally cleaned by Sparkling Cleaners. We have new flooring, furniture, bedding and a new sliding glass door leading to the patio that was purchase last year.

All of the blinds were replaced in June of this year. Our unit is all updated with new flooring and living room Set and new chairs.

Wells Village

We had a great time Pat was very responsive to any questions or issues we had. The location is great a couple of miles from Wells Beach and Drake island beach. We brought our bikes so we were able to avoid paying the parking fees for our beach visits by dropping off everyone and having one person bike back from the condo not a long trip on a bike. The only small updates I would suggest are to replace the broken blinds and put in a couple new air conditioners other than that we had everything we needed in the kitchen and there was plenty of room for six people.

Our Week at Village By The Sea

Charles and Patrica were great! The condo is well set up. Plenty of room for the 6 of us! (Hand towels and towel holder on side of sink base would be great for young kids)Our grandchildren enjoyed the pools and hot tub. We all loved the wave chair in the livingroom!!
