Wonderful retreat by the Lake.Very clean and well stocked! Game barn was a lot of fun. Overall vibe was quiet and relaxing. Host was very responsive and helpful .

Playing ping pong, relaxing on the patio, hiking on the trails at the State Park—such fun! House had everything we needed, was very clean and host was available if we had questions—definitely will return to this 5 star place!

Our family really enjoyed our stay! The house was a good size for our group of 7 with a well-appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. The game shed was wonderful for our multi-generational group as some folks could hang out outside without disrupting others napping or sleeping. The walk down to the dock was also quick and we enjoyed the swimming platform. Would definitely recommend to others!

We had a great stay in Spotsylvania. The house is very comfortable and nicely kept. The fenced backyard was great for our dogs and for simply hanging out. We spent time on the porch playing games and enjoying the weather and peace with the dogs free to enjoy their surroundings. We would happily stay here again when visiting the area.

This cozy house was just as described in the listing and the host was very responsive to any and all questions. The walk to the lake was only about 3-4 minutes which was nice when we went paddle boarding. The side covered porch and backyard were both very big and nice to have as we lucked out with some lovely weather for July in Virginia, and we found ourselves out there for much of the time. The football table and firepit were also super fun. Thanks to Martin for providing us with a great stay for our family vacation.

Very nice home. Everything was clean and organized, with everything functioning properly. Really enjoyed the nice deck and yard. The outside area was nice with games and a fire pit. Would recommend to anyone with a small group of 8 or less.

Really wonderful stay

We hugely enjoyed our stay. Everything was easy to use and access and it felt very comfortable for everyone. We are looking forward to coming back. Plenty of games, lovely fire and of course easy access to the lake.

Our family of 5 and small dog enjoyed our 2-day stay. It was clean, quiet, comfy and had everything we needed to relax before and after the wedding we attended. The second bathroom was large and beautifully updated. Communication with our host was easy; he provided all the info we needed. Short walk down street to beautiful Lake Anna.

The property & amenities were just like as shown on listing. Definitely pet friendly. The touch day online guide that was sent was very detailed, easy to use and very helpful. Have not encountered a VRBO yet that had this well organized, and helpful info that was put at your fingertips upon confirming reservation. Host very responsive to questions. We really enjoyed the fire pit and all the activities available to do in the carport & yard. We would definitely come back to this property if we were to visit the area again!

This was our 4th trip to Lake Anna. We enjoyed our stay at the Whistling Terrapin. The outdoor entertainment area was great, and our dogs loved being able to play in the fenced in yard. We made large family meals in the kitchen and ate in the dining room. Beds were comfortable. Our host Martin was very responsive! Thank you

Lake Anna House

We had a wonderful time at the Lake. We were in an excellent location and Martin was very accommodating for our dogs. The fenced in yard was a big bonus. We lost air conditioning briefly but that issue was resolved quickly. We definitely plan to come back to Lake Anna. Thank you

Perfect House

I stayed with a group of 6 friends for the renn faire and was blown away by this house.House was clean and very nicely decorated.Backyard was perfect space for yard games, campfires, and the best hangout space for when it rains.The hot tub was large and clean with a nice covered porch.Beds were outrageously comfoetable and laudnry room big enough for an extra air mattress for our one friend who snored alot.This place is 10/10 and communication from martin was also 10/10I would highely reccomend this to anyone trying to get away to lake anna on a budget!Thank you Martin!

Went in search of several days of hiking and relaxation, and this place did not disappoint! Location was perfect (less than 7 miles from Lake Anna State Park) and less than 3 mikes from Foodlion. One of our favorite parts was the incredible quiet and being surrounded by beautiful woods. It was just me and my older mother, but I want to return with more family members to enjoy the fun environment provided (games, fire pits, darts, ping pong, big yard). Safe and secure neighborhood.
