"Listing description Looking for a unique Atlantic getaway that's right in the middle of BOTH the ICWW and Beach, has a swath of peek-a-boo SEA views and is less than a block to Sea, Salt, & Sand? ""The Palm House"" may be just the Sandcastle you are looking for! This 3 bed and 3.5 bath home consists of 2300 sq. ft of Indoor & expansive Outdoor Entertainment including a private in-ground pool, hot tub, balcony breezes and endless Pleasure Island adventures! Your property As you pull up to ""The Palm House"", you arrive to 1 car garage and driveway available for you and a fellow wanderer to access and enjoy. Multiple entrances to the home can be found in front of the home or in the carport itself as it opens into your backyard oasis! A footpath along the East side of the home will also traverse you past the outdoor shower and through to your private enclosed yard. As you approach the yard under the carport, cement transitions to Trex and greenery. An indoor/outdoor lounging area is garnished with a propane BBQ, firepit and 6-person hot tub for your “all-season” experience. As you continue West into your Oasis, your private inground pool ensures that you encounter 50-shades-of-BLUE on your excursion!

Take the exterior steps or interior staircase up to the 1st floor where your ushered into your open floorplan including the laundry room, a small North facing balcony and a half bathroom (Bathroom#1). A few steps in, you’ll find yourself inside your modern chef’s kitchen (over, stove, dishwasher and more!) complete with an oversize island for family dining, a drop leaf table for one-on-one morning coffee and a spacing family room. What makes this space even more spectacular is its double slider which opens the room up into a great indoor/outdoor space with outdoor seating and invigorating intracoastal views and breezes.

Once back inside, ascend the stairway up into the 2nd floor you’ll soon encounter full bathroom #2 (with a tub), bedroom #1 with a Queen-sized bed, bedroom #2 with a Queen-sized bed, ensuite full bathroom (#3) with a shower and a private West facing balcony overlooking the pool and peek-a-booing the ICWW.

Up to 3rd and final floor, you’ll be greeted by bathroom #4 complete with a tub, bedroom #4 with a Queen-sized bed and a second Livingroom complete with a Queen-sized convertible couch and Twin+Twin trundle/daybed. Once again, what makes this floor and home unique is not only a 2nd Livingroom, but ANOTHER slider which opens expansive views of the pool below, the ICWW and yacht basin. You’ll see sailboats pass by, pelicans riding the wind and hues of pink and blue.

Each bedroom and living room has its own respective WIFI enabled smart TV, books and dĂ©cor to ensure that each family member have the comforts of home, with the amenities and proximity of heaven (palms 9:11)! A “pack & play”, highchair and various child friendly amenities can be found throughout the home. “The Palm House” caters to 1 medium sized pup or 2 small pups for an additional pup fee. A pet waste station, bowls and various additional pup <3 amenities can be located to assist in keeping the home clean and your furry kids happy!

1 set of the following will be made on a per bed/per person basis to help you be comfortable on your adventure! Bed sheets (fitted/flat set), bath towels, wash cloths, cleaning rags, pillowcases, bathmats and kitchen towels. Laundering or extra sets are not an available service regrettably. Please make sure all used linens are placed in one location in the home at departure. Please let all BED LINENS remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! A sincere thanks for your help and we hope that YOU have an AMAZING ADVENTURE!

1 courtesy soap, shampoo and conditioner are left in the bathroom of each home as well as 2 rolls of TP per bath, 1 makeup wipe and one backup toothbrush. 1 roll of paper towel, a sponge, dish soap, 2 trash bags per receptacle and (*as applicable) 3 dishwasher and laundry pods will be available to use if needed!

Beach chairs, corn hole, a beach wagon, boogie boards, an umbrella and misc. beach toys can be found for guest use and enjoyment! Neighborhood description Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island.

The home itself is under one block from the nearest beach access. The property is a short drive from down town Carolina Beach with its shops, activities and dining and is equidistant to the smaller, but just as charming Down Town Kure Beach. There are fireworks during the summer every Thursday night and local fairs around the lake each Saturday morning. Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and atmosphere.

Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered! Getting around There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has several vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddle boards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. There's Sun Fun Rentals @1204 N Lake Park Blvd Unit F Carolina Beach, NC 28428. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all! After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here! Guest access The HOME: Guests have full access to your private home and respective grounds.

The YARD: Guests have full access to the private yard, patio, multiple decks, patios, balconies, hot tub, in-ground pool & more! Guests may fully enjoy (and maintain!) all of the homes outdoor amenities so long as done respectfully and safely!

Beach Storage: There is a storage closet for beach items in the garage area!

PARKING: Each reservation will have access to a maximum of 2-3 vehicles utilizing both the garage and driveway.

The BEACH: ‱Closest BEACH access: Sand Fiddler Ln Public Beach Access (Sand Fiddler Ln). Interaction with guests I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :) Other details to note ‱Salt Water Real Estate has partnered with the absolute best vendors our Island has to offer to help ensure guests can spend more time enjoying themselves and less time researching! Our partners include the Tony Silvagni Surf School for professional surf lessons, bicycle, umbrella and chair rentals, Hot Ticket Fishing Charters, Salty Dog and Dust Busters Cleaning & Linens. Our partners support guests of Salt Water Real Estate with the highest caliber of local services for extremely competitive and oft discounted pricing. They all contribute to the “Salt Water” experience and we <3 them for it!

Carolina Beach

The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents on a FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE basis. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM. Parking fees restart each morning during enforcement hours for all of the Town's parking lots and on-street parking spaces.

Parking is enforced March 15 – Sept. 30 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking rates are $5 per hour. Visitors may purchase a day pass for $20, weekly pass for $100 or full season pass for $225.

GOLF CARTS

‱To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.

‱ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways.

Location was great and overall very clean. However, the comforter in the master bedroom needs to be washed; it stank. Also need a trashcan in the master bathroom and a mirror at a reasonable height.
