Walnut hill is a currently a quaint 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with outdoor hot tub jacuzzi… all tucked in a wooded corner bordering the Yellow River Forest.Walnut hill has one bedroom upstairs in the loft with a queen bed, the master bedroom downstairs with a queen bed as well, and a hide-a-bed queen sofa in the Living Room. It has a full kitchen with new appliances, ….stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, central Heat ….and WiFi with cable TV. This cabin also features a nice deck with a barbecue gas grill. Just behind the cabin you can start hiking and exploring miles of trails in the Yellow River Forest. Relax in the cozy living room with the woodburning stove or enjoy a fire on the wood burning stove.

*. The cabin can sleep up to 6 comfortably.

Overall my boyfriend and I had a great experience and loved our stay here! The cabin was so cozy and looked exactly like the pictures.

The cabins are separated by plenty of greenery. The hot tub was clean and very nice to relax in after a day of hiking. The cabin was nice and clean. The walkways could use some updating, but other than that, it was was a vey relaxing weekend getaway.

Very quiet peaceful cabin. Nice porch to sit on and do nothing. You can hear traffic on the road. One evening there were 2 vehicles that went by.

Great cabin! We stayed in February in the snow, and greatly enjoyed the wood stove and the warm hot tub, which held temperature beautifully even in 8 degree weather! The bed was comfortable, and we liked the simple decor. It's a quiet location with beautiful pine trees, and hiking trails behind the cabin. Things to know: It's a little drafty, and rustic (we liked the rustic!). The loft is very short- good for kids, not adults. Mattresses are maybe 10 inch thick- 12 inch sheets would fit well. You might want an extra blanket. Kitchen has plates, bowls, lots of sizes of pots, cutting boards, and most basic utensils, but is lacking in many other things. We brought our cast iron and favorite kitchen gadgets along, but wished for a sharp knife, a scissor, and hot pads. Cory is a great host and appreciates feedback.It is an enjoyable cabin at a decent price, and we will likely make it our yearly winter weekend get away spot! :)

Cory is communicative and the cabin is cute. We had a great time in the area close to Marquette and Prairie Du Chein, both areas had fun things to do. Things to note: pet fee 50, no linens provided, limited to no paper products provided, no towels, trash removal not apart of cleaning fee (renter responsibility).

I wasn’t planning on leaving a review. After we left, I sent these issues to Cory. There was no apology or even follow up to make an attempt to correct these issues for future guests. I understand this property is geared towards hunters and was not expecting a 5 star hotel. 1. We arrived early evening to the hot tub overfilling. The hose was left in it and the temp was at 59. Guarantee there was no chemical in the water. Lost one night of hot tub usage.2. Arrived and cabin was hot. The listing advertised AC. I reached out and was told it hadn’t been hot enough to put in the AC units yet. The forecast for the weekend was 80-90. They were supposed to come in the morning to put them in. They didn’t come until 6:30PM.3. The listing advertised 3 beds. We were not planning to use the sofa bed. With the cabin being so hot, we choice to use the sofa bed over an extremely hot upstairs bedroom. The sofa bed is complete junk and broken in many places. It is not suitable for anybody other than young kids. 4. We pulled out the sofa bed and there was a mostly dead mouse…looked to be dying from rat poison. 5. There was a wasp nest outside causing wasps to get into the cabin.6. When they finally came to put the AC units in, he didn’t bring tape to secure it. He left a large gap that we could find something to fix it or he could come back the next day.Essentially we lost a full night of hot tub usage and over 24 hours of no AC due to lack of planning.
