Enjoy the charm and convenience of The Captainâs Cottage, perfectly located in the heart of the 1000 Islands on the St. Lawrence River. This spacious home sleeps up to 13 guests, featuring a main-floor master suite, three upstairs bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable living and dining areasâall with new furniture, beds, and appliances.
Conveniently located near marinas, restaurants, museums, and just a short drive from Alexandria Bay, Wellesley Island, and more. We can also help arrange tours, charters, winery visits, or customized activities.

First floor master bedroom suite features a king size bed, private sitting area and full bath. Three bedrooms located on the second floor (2 Queen Rooms, 1 with Double Bed & Single Bunk) along with the second bathroom. Bedrooms can accommodate 9 guests. Sitting area outside the master bedroom complete with cable tv and double sofa bed for 2 additional guests. Living Room has Queen sofa bed with cable tv that can accommodate 2 additional guests. Large third bathroom located on the first floor with washer & dryer. Kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave, side-by-side refrigerator, and island with stools. Dining Room with family size table and chairs. All new appliances, fixtures, furniture, beds and linens!

Votre hĂŽte
Owner (Dede) lives onsite in the Chateau Main building and is available most days. I work remote Mon thru Fri. We own and Operate Clayton Island Tours as well. We operate Boat Tours of the 1000 Islands Daily on 5 different catamaran style covered boats. Our main attractions in the area are Boldt Castle and Rock Island State Park and Lighthouse. You can usually find your host pretty readily.

I am fourth generation family member to own and operate with Inn, cottage and now Clayton Island Tours along side my other family members.

After talking to many many guests, the main attraction for our Captains Cottage is the size of the home and the fact it accommodates up to 13 people right on the river. We are also nicely situated between 2 marinas which offer amenities for anyone bringing a personal watercraft of boat. We are also in a wedding destination kind of town and are closely located in proximity to various wedding venues, making accommodations for guests a quick and easy ride to and from. The owner is also willing to make reservations for golf outings, restaurant outings, and other various events or accommodations to make your stay here more memorable. We also sit on a beautiful part of the river where ships cruise right by us daily on their way to ports east and west.
We do allow self-check in in the Chateau Country Inn building, our front foyer is set up to display your room welcome envelop with your keys for the Cottage readily available in the rack right when you walk in. Our cottage also includes linen for all beds and sofas. We also include a bonfire pit. When in stock we provide wood as well. Parking is free and plentiful right along side of the cottage making this very convenient. We can usually accommodate parking for a trailed boat or personal watercraft as well. Note: NY requires completion of a boaters safety course in order to be on the river. We are also close by to many state park beaches as well. We are also a quick drive to local coffee shops, mini golf course and the town of Clayton! Our area features several nice golf courses and some of the areas very best restaurants. Host is happy to steer you in the right direction!
Breakfast can be provided for $12.50 per person - minimum 6 people with24 hours' notice. Clayton island Boat tours offer a Food Truck - Kays Kitchen. Usually, chefs' choice unless something specific is requested. Call host for more details. We also don't mind dropping our guests off to town to attend a function or event and later pick up.
