Cowboy Cabin Ranch, a beautifully restored 1919 cabin tucked away in the peaceful pines of Black Forest, Colorado — just outside the city limits of Colorado Springs. This one-of-a-kind, secluded retreat blends the rustic soul of the Old West with modern comfort, offering the perfect getaway for families, couples, or friends looking to unplug and unwind.

From the moment you step inside, you’ll feel like you've traveled back in time — without sacrificing comfort. The cabin has been thoughtfully designed with authentic western decor throughout, creating a fun and memorable experience. You’ll find cowhide chairs, rustic wood finishes, charming antiques, and even a saloon-style bar complete with real saddle stools — perfect for hanging out and swapping stories at the end of the day.

The home features a warm and welcoming living room with an electric fireplace, perfect for cozy evenings in. Just off the living space, you'll find the dining area, which is one of the cabin’s most special spots. It’s surrounded by a large window that overlooks the peaceful pasture, making it the ideal place to enjoy meals, play games, or simply sip coffee while soaking in the serene views.

In addition to the living and dining areas, the cabin includes a unique bonus saloon room — a western-style hangout spot where you can kick back, belly up to the bar, or lounge by the second electric fireplace with a drink in hand. It’s an experience that brings the spirit of the Old West to life in the most charming way.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, including complimentary coffee and essential seasonings. There’s also a dedicated coffee bar so you can start your mornings slow and easy.

There are three TVs in the home — one in each bedroom and one in the living room — so everyone can unwind with their favorite shows or movies after a day of adventure.

The master bedroom features a plush king-size bed, its own electric fireplace for cozy evenings, and an adjoining bunk room separated by barn door curtains, great for families with little ones. A second bedroom offers a cozy queen bed, and there are two full bathrooms for added convenience.

We’ve stocked the home with thoughtful extras like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry soap, and bonus toiletries — allowing you to pack light and enjoy a stay that feels like home.

Outside, explore 14 private acres along a mowed walking trail, or head to the hammock garden via the lighted path and relax under the canopy of trees. The front porch features four classic rocking chairs, ideal for sipping coffee as you watch the sunrise over the pasture. For a little fun and friendly competition, enjoy a game of cornhole in the yard — perfect for relaxing afternoons. If you're bringing a pet, you'll love the newly fenced backyard designed just for your furry friend — the Cowboy Cabin is proudly dog-friendly.

There is no air conditioning, but you'll quickly discover that opening the windows brings in a refreshing, cool Colorado breeze — especially in the evenings. It's part of the charm and natural rhythm of staying in the pines. To make things even cozier, the cabin features three electric fireplaces that provide warmth and ambiance on cooler days.

Though it feels wonderfully remote, the cabin is also equipped with high-speed internet, so you can stream, scroll, or work remotely if needed. You'll also be just a short drive away from the United States Air Force Academy, major hospitals, and the conveniences of Colorado Springs — offering the perfect balance of peaceful retreat and easy access to the essentials.

One furry friend is welcome (pets must be approved and no pit bulls allowed), but guests must clean up after them. Additional cleaning charges will apply if pet waste is left behind. Bringing your furry friend is an additional charge. Bringing a dog without our notice, you will incur a $500 fine.

Absolutely no smoking of any kind is allowed inside the home — a minimum fee of $500 will be charged for violations of this policy.

The tabletop fireplace is currently not operational due to an active local fire ban. We appreciate your understanding-guest safety and protecting our beautiful surroundings are very important to us.
