Great location

We enjoyed the beach/pool and it was nice also being close enough to visit downtown St Augustine for shopping and dining. Parking was limited at colony reef but overall a nice place!

Family friendly, convenient beach/pool access, great view

Great view, convenient to large pool and beautiful beach, huge green space for kids to play. Short drive to groceries, restaurants and shopping. New beach boardwalk with no steps. Elevator and ramps made the entire property accessible for older guests. Could have been cleaner upon arrival, but that did not sour the overall experience. We would definitely visit again.

Summer Vacation at Colony Reef

However, the unit we stayed in desperately needs some attention. 5 remotes on coffee table, had to figure out what goes to what, then had to go by batteries to use. Beds were very uncomfortable, in need of mattresses.Dont believe floor was cleaned before our arrival.Ice dispenser was froze up when we arrived.

Fun condo for the family

We stayed in mid April. The outdoor pool was still way too cold most of the week, but the indoor pool was nice and warm. The kids are already asking to go back and it's only been a couple of weeks. My only (minor) complaints were that there were a few things in disrepair (like one of the curtain holders was on the floor and one set of vertical blinds didn't close well) and that the smallest room (with the surfboards) had no place to open a suitcase or store any clothes. We worked around those drawbacks and had a great time. Watching the sunrise each morning from the couch certainly helped.

Relaxing Vacation

The amenities were very nice higher outdoor pool and hot tub, very nice gym with nice equipment, great indoor pool and sauna. Just a short walk to the beach. Love to watch the sunrise. Seen baby turtles making there way to the ocean. Great restaurants, grocery shopping and souvenior shops within a few miles of the condo, Location was great just 15 mins from St. Augustine. We enjoyed our stay so much we plan to return next year.

Great Location!-

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo has a perfect ocean view! It is quite adequate in space with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main living area is furnished with adequate seating and the bedrooms had plenty of space. The kitchen had all the necessities and the refrigerator was large enough with water & ice provided in the door. We really appreciated the walk-in shower in one of the bathrooms! The best thing was the response from the property manager whenever we needed any assistance with anything!

Some like the beach and some like the pool. This year we had 3 generations present. It is close to downtown St. Augustine and all the attractions.

Perfect for a family with little ones.

My husband, mother in law, a 5 year old,a 20 month old and my self all felt very comfortable in this condo. It was nice but it wasn’t over the top where I felt like my kids couldn’t still be kids. The little room was perfect for the boys. The guest room was spacious enough for my mother in law. The master bedroom and bath were very nice. Beds were comfortable, appliances clean and worked well. The property was perfect for a family get away.Nice playground, great pool, large commons area for kids to run and play, excellent walk way to the beach. If you have small children I would highly recommend this place. I could not of asked for a better place for our first beach trip as a family. It was not far from local attractions or stores. The security made the location feel safe and secure.

Nice place, would likely stay again.

Overall we had a fantastic time in Saint Augustine and at Colony Reef Club and would almost certainly go back. The room: Room is nice, as essentially everything you need in terms of cooking, washing clothes, storage for your items. Master bed is quite hard and uncomfortable, but we were so exhausted by days end I probably would have gotten a full eight hours on a bed of nails. View of the ocean is somewhat far, but very nice. It is a bit of a hike to the beach, but that is clear from the provided photos and was expected. Water pressure is very bad. If you take long showers this shouldn't be an issue, but a quick shower is not really an option. There are a few little things that needed to be fixed. Loose door know, small hole I'm wall behind the couch, some loose floor tiles in the bathroom. None of that detracts from the room itself, just a few things need to be taken care of. I would have absolutely no hesitation staying in this apartment again though. It's generally comfortable outside of the bed, all the amenities (and a few more) from the listing were provided and the price we paid was honestly a steal for what we got. The Reef Club: Lots of rules posted everywhere, some contradictory (hot tub listed as 12+ in some places, adults only in others). No one was seemingly around Sunday and since equipment for the tennis and basketball court need to be signed out it was basically unusable without bringing your own stuff that day. If you're the type that wants to relax on your balcony with a cigar and a drink you're out of luck here as smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited everywhere inside the gates of the complex. The smoking area is halfway up the boardwalk to the beach so it's a hefty walk for all you nicotine addicts. Part of the pool was posted that the floor was broken so avoid. Elevator didn't work one day, but was fine otherwise. The grounds are well maintained. Front desk lady was very nice. Depending what attractions you want to see you're driving there as there aren't a ton of things outside of a few restaurants within walking or biking distance. It's also a really quiet area for that reason. Quiet time is 11 PM, which is eminently reasonable. All windows have to have curtains closed at this time during turtle season to protect the turtles, and fines can be levied for non-compliance. These aren't really complaints as again, I would book here again tomorrow. Just trying to give a full picture. We loved it.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the view is nice, it was definitely hard to get out and see it on the balcony. When we got into the room (deadbolt extremely hard to lock and unlock) the view was great! There were definitely pros and cons! Pros comfy beds (after fixing the one in the guest bedroom), washer and dryer available in the room, comfy couch. Cons - only 6 towels when booked for 8 people, sliding glass doors almost impossible to open, deadbolt on entry door doesn't work properly, popcorn under the couch from previous renter, underneath the loveseat was extremely dirty, food wrappers on the floor in the master bedroom along with some type of sticky candy smashed into the floor. When I brought this up to the front desk the response I got was, it was nearing the end of the season and it is hard to get the house keepers to do their jobs.

The view from our balcony was beautiful- the ocean, the pool and the beautifully maintained grounds. Having an elevator was also a "plus". Love Sea Colony but not this condo!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Poor. The middle bathroom had a stopper which did not permit you to take a warm shower. The TV was on a timer that periodically would turn off and the heat was controlled by the homeowner and it only was warm when a repaired man should up. Also the water had an awful taste and smell.
