The house was perfect, clean and as advertised! Most importantly the host was extremely responsive and friendly. Also, I loved all the detail provided not only about the house, but the parking (included visuals). We had a great time and enjoyed the stay!
Rooms were nice. There was plenty of sleeping arraignments. The kitchens were clean, and the bathrooms were great. Parking for 3 was a little tight but did not affect our trip. We walked to most of our destinations.
Linda was very welcoming and helpful. I had multiple questions and called multiple times before our stay and she was always available and helpful. The property is perfect for our large party. We would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying again.
Very comfortable stay with very thoughtful design throughout. Kitchen stocked better than most vrbos for cooking and entertaining a large group. Highly recommend!
We rented the entire guest house for our family of 8 and it was perfect in every way! Super comfy beds, every amenity you’d need and great location. Would 100% stay here again and highly recommend! Thank you Linda
With 14 people it was utter chaos! But it was a perfect stay!
It was a perfect fit for our family. The location was great.
The upstairs sink and the two couch beds need a little TLC but other than that it was in really great shape!
The property was very clean and had lots of the basic necessities available like soap detergent etc The host was great and very friendly This house exceeded our expectations!!
Lovely accommodations close to heart of St. Augustine
We’re a family of 8 celebrating a milestone birthday! The home was lovely & we had a wonderful weekend. Linda was always available at a moments notice & we appreciated her caring about our stay.
Our family came for a wedding and loved our stay. Our host responded to all our qurstions and even made a few exceptions. Thank you so much. It was clean comfortable and had tons of amenities that makes a stay complete.
Home and Guest house were very nice, and well stocked, Convenient walk to downtown area. Parking was a little weird but it is small old town. We enjoyed ourselves.
We rented both upper and lower units. The two kitchens made putting our Thanksgiving meal together a snap. All King beds were great. Large closets made it nice for setting up baby in there. Fully equipped….
We rented the entire Lemon Guest house for our daughter's wedding at the Lightner Museum. Location is a bit of a walk to most of the downtown spots (about 10-15 minutes). Everything with the property was as described. Parking was a bit tricky, but we were able to squeeze in 4 vehicles. I would definitely recommend this property.
It is an older house divided into two separate apartments. We used both spaces. The house has some natural wear and tear such as the garage disposal that roars like a dragon but the beds were so comfortable and the place was cozy and warm which we enjoyed in contrast to weather outside. I would highly recommend this property to others. We were minutes away from the downtown area
So glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for letting me know about the garbage disposal. I had no idea. I will fix it today. I live just 1 block away. Please do not hesitate to call me at any time if you come across a problem. That is why I am here. At your service, Linda
We enjoyed our stay here. Linda gave good directions ahead of time with a list of great restaurants and things to do in St. Augustine for our stay. The parking is a little tight if you have more than 3 cars but it worked for us just fine. The King beds were all very comfortable. The pull out couches were typical for comfort but they were doable. The bathrooms were good too. The one with the clawfoot tub was a little tight while showering due to the curtain but it is not an real issue. The kitchens had everything you need for making food and coffee. The upstairs flooring is a little uneven and slanty in a few spots but adds to the charm of the place. There is a nice outdoor space for sitting and relaxing that is covered off the downstairs unit. It is also walkable to the fort, St George Street and Distillery within 10-15 minutes and driving 5 minutes. It's a very nice and quite area.
Our book club normally meets virtually, but once a year, we meet in person to just hang out, see some sites, and spend time together. We look for places to stay that will accommodate 8 people that is within walkable distance to sites, shops, and restaurants. The location of this property did not disappoint.
Prior to our arrival, the host reached out and provided check in procedures (basically a key code to the doors, which is tricky because the key pad doesn’t “read” the first number punched in, but the host’s hubby happened by when we were trying to get in and gave us a hand). We rented both guest houses, which meant a weird walk-through a very narrow broom closet to get to the other side, but it was fine.
Pros: Location. It’s close to all the sites, but not so close that you can hear city-life throughout the night.
The number of beds and bathrooms is nice.
The host’s explanation of things to do and her explanation of how to access the property.
Bonus: Some of our party arrived early and the host allowed slightly early access since it was already cleaned.
King-sized beds allowed for space for sleeping when sharing a room.
Cons: The kitchen area is small in one house and the location of the couch, adjacent to the kitchen, puts your back to those eating in the kitchen.
You have to be willing to share a bed if you have more than 4 people.
There are some electrical issues that are concerning.
Overall, we had a great time & were glad we stayed at Lemon House.
This was an amazing home for our grown family to finally get together for Christmas. We rented both downstairs and upstairs and it was perfect for 9 adults and a 3 year old. The house is updated with everything you could possibly need. We were able to cook meals and warm up leftovers. It was great to have 2 living areas for us to do movies and games in separate areas on the rainy day. We parked the cars and easily walked to everything. Linda was so easy to contact and was extremely helpful. This was one of the best family gatherings we’ve had and it was mainly to do with this wonderful home, the lay out and the location. We will definitely be renting from here again!!!
Great stay for our together trip family of 9. Just kinda hard to do one night with an after 3 check in time and 10am checkout time. But we made it work.
The house was so beautiful and so conveniently located - we walked everywhere! Linda was an amazing host who had great communication and even helped me with a payment hiccup! 100% recommend!
House was just as posted, beautiful. The beds were very comfortable, pullout couches not so comfortable. Location to downtown St Augustine was great, no problem with parking.
Had a great stay.
My name is Linda Bayles. I have been a Realtor in the Jacksonville/St Augustine area ranking in the Top 1% of Agents since 1998. In 2005 I walked into a 1926 beach cottage direct oceanfront on St Augustine Beach and knew I had found my calling. I wanted to 'Create' a vacation space for Families. Large extended families. A place were Cousins, Grandmothers, Uncles and Aunts can comfortably come together to reconnect and enjoy each other away from the demands of the outside world. I come from a large family of 5 children as does my husband, Brad. Some of my fondest memories are when we all got together to just 'hang out' for 3 or 4 days. The little ones always come up with a 'play'. The adults always congregate in the Kitchen passing down the 'Family Recipes' to the next generation and playing Games. We are a big Game playing family. Specifically Rummikub. We start them at 5 and My Mother is still going at 95. If you have never played, you must. I make sure there is one in each house. Once you are hooked and have one of your own, I hope you will think of your St Augustine stay every time you play.
So I bought that 1926 Craftsman, gutted it and turned it into The Chautauqua which sleeps 21. It has been a rewarding success. In 2011, my Father expanded the tradition and bought 4 homes on one Oceanfront compound on 9th Street. We could not believe our luck and spent the next year remodeling them into The Seaside Cottages. We started renting them in June of 2012. The Best part is not only the homes but the BEACH. There are only 18 streets on the “Best Beach” - No cars. No Catwalk. The ocean right at your door. Great Restaurants within walking distance. Amazing.
And then I discovered the charm of Downtown St Augustine. At night it is like strolling in an old European City. So in 2016 I decide to moved Downtown and renovated 4 more Downtown Vacation Rentals. Ranging from 1 to 4 Bedrooms all walking distance of St George Street, the Center of Historic Downtown and all the Restaurants, Sights and Music and only 2 blocks from each other. Great for Downtown Weddings with the Bride taking one house and the Groom the other.
My Goal is to provide the best vacation spot possible. I hope you will stay with us and create memories you will cherish for a lifetime. Feel free to call or text me any time.
Always at your service,
Linda Bayles Florida Home Realty & Mortage
PS: I am also a Realtor. I work primarily as a Single Agent. There are not many of us out there. Most Realtors work as neutral Transaction Agents. You can google 'Buyers Agent' to get an overview of the difference. I think it is big. Just ask yourself the question, Would I want the other sides Attorney to represent me too? That's it in a nut shell but the amazing thing is, unlike Attorneys, it does not cost you anything to have your OWN Realtor representing just YOUR interest. We are all paid by the Seller. So .... I would love to help if you are thinking about buying or selling in the area. Just call and I will send photos of what's available. Once here I would love to give you a tour of the area and take you "shopping". We can see about 4 per hour and you have me as long as it takes.
