My two dogs and I had a relaxing, cozy stay while our house was being renovated. The furniture and decor was super comfy! Our host was very helpful, and responsive. The coffee shop and bakery, and restaurants nearby made for easy and yummy meals.

Claire's VRBO home - Tiger Cove - was perfect for mine and my daughter's girls trip! The pull out was firm enough for my daughter's back pain, and the king sized bed was perfect to spread out in! The laundry in the basement was very convenient. There are tags everywhere for ease of stay. Would book again if I'm in Des Moines! 5 stars!

A comfortable place in a quiet neighborhood. The previous renter apparently took the remote for the bedroom TV; the host messaged me at soon as they find out and worked diligently to get a replacement ahead of my stay. I didn't need it, but I appreciate their effort in trying to make it right. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils. The appliances are all fairly new and in good working order. Would stay here again.

The house is adorable! Claire has done a nice job with updates and upgrades here and there that really make a big difference! It was the perfect size for me and my two dogs! The fenced in back yard was a huge bonus and was big enough to allow them time to run around and burn off some energy. The tv in the bed room was mounted perfectly and was a great touch for snuggling in bed watching a movie. The house was well equipped with everything that you could possible need. It was nice that she had so many basic condiments and seasoning and spices to work with. The espresso machine was a lot of fun and came with plenty of options to choose from. The neighborhood is in the highland park area. Which is an older east part of town but the area was quiet and I had no issues with anyone or anything. The area was nice and close to what I was needing it for! It was actually a lot closer than I had originally thought so that was pleasant surprise. Every detail was thought of and it truly shows! Claire was also flexible with me and allowed for an early check in and a late check out to accommodate my dogs and my work schedule. So that was super Amazing! Was sad to have to go! Hopefully we were just as good renters because I really am thankful for our stay and the ease of the book. Thank you again!

We absolutely loved staying at Claire’s home. It was perfect for us and our pets. Very welcoming, spacious, friendly! I like how everything was labeled to help find and use some of the amenities. Huge backyard, close to restaurants and shops. Would definitely like to visit again!

Hi! My name is Claire and I currently live in Des Moines, Iowa! I bought the Jungalow in Nov, 2024 and have been renovating and improving it's solid bones ever since!

I love interior design, spoiling my pets (an Alaskan Malamute and Maine Coon cat) and exploring new cities.

Highland Park/Oak Park is one of the most beautiful gems in central DSM! Filled with large, mature trees that provide tons of shade in the summer and hosts a large variety of birds all throughout the year.

It's within walking distance of the trendy shopping district, 6th Ave, and an amazing park - Riverview Park!

Riverview Park has a large playground that is an homage to old amusement park that used to be there 80 years ago, and a new amphitheater that hosts live music and festivals in the summer.

It's only a 10 minute drive to downtown Des Moines and Adventureland Park!
