Bless your heart and soothe your soul! Here's a hidden retreat, an escape to Old Florida charm, with a lot of space to unwind.

This is a mini-farm in the making, with friendly funny begging for treats and rewarding us with farm fresh eggs daily! Lush Tropical landscaping is the backdrop for this idyllic escape, and plans for a future food forest are forming.

After a day at the beach or fishing, take a dip in the POOL, relax in the HOT TUB, or sway in a hammock under the oaks, while the kids thrill in the tree swings.
Play horseshoes, kickball, or volleyball. Build a bonfire, make s'mores. Order homemade Sangria from your host, grill up some steaks, then turn up the music and have your own patio dance party. A starry sky is the limit!

Why stay at a cookie-cutter rental, when you can treat yourself to an experience? This is the escape you are looking for.

OUTDOORS GALORE!

Mini-farm in the works, on unincorporated land in Manatee County. There is tons of space and lots of local areas to play, so bring your bicycles, horses, boats, RVs, motorcyles and golf carts.

Our charming cottage rental is an accessory house on a half acre property, shared with the main house next door. You will have plenty of privacy with your own front yard, extra long driveway and carport, outdoor screened lanai, and a pet fence and/or extra large dog crate can be set up on property if needed. A laundry room is attached to your rental, and the washer and dryer is reserved for your use only.

WHERE IS IT?
Close to everything, quick easy access to I-75 and I-275.

20-30 minutes to nearby beaches, depending on the season and traffic.

Flanked by the edge of Terra Ceia Nature Preserve with miles of hiking, biking, and kayaking trails.

Hafway between Sarasota International Airport (SRQ), and Tampa International Airport (TPA). both 35-45 minutes.

10-30 minutes to Ellenton Outlet Mall, Bradenton and its beaches, Sarasota University Town Center shopping plaza, or downtown St Petersburg and the St. Pete Piere, where you can dine, shop and bop till you drop.

Picturesque, quaint Anna Maria Island lies at the tip of Bradenton, and is a straight shot from our place, about a 25-40 minute drive, depending on traffic.

The historic Skyway Bridge Fishing Pier is about 10-15 minutes away.

St. Pete Beach/Pass-A-Grille (there is a dog beach there), are about half an hour or so.


WHAT DO WE HAVE?
Well-stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook snd serve a full meal, bake muffins, toast bagels, blend smoothies, brew coffee...there is even a hot air popcorn popper. You can also find skewers to make s'mores or hot dogs at the good old fashioned firepit in the backyard.

The half-acre property has a huge yard, big enough to play kickball, run relay races or play fetch with Fido. We also have a kiddie splashpad, cornhole, volleyball, badminton and 4 square set you can set up. Horseshoe pit, kiddie pool, sandbox and herb garden coming soon.

An outdoor patio bar and grill with a projector TV is just getting its finishing touches. Included is a propane grill, lounging area, propane firepit and table for 6. Umbrellas and fans help keep you cool and the breeze helps to keep the mosquitos at bay. Additional tables and seating can be pre-arranged for special occasions.

TVs: Projector TV and Screen available upon request for use outdoors. 60 inch smart TV in living room, and 43 inch smart TVs in both bedrooms. Hulu, Disney +, Netflix, Max and Amazon Prime included.

Each bedroom features an ultra comfy Beautyrest or Serta pillow top mattress, queen size, with slightly different firmness levels to choose from.

Also in the bedrooms: Sound machines, USB plugs, full size mirrors, luggage stands and multiple pillow choices to ensure you have everything you need for a great night's sleep.

If 6 guests are staying, 2 will sleep on a stowaway queen memory foam bed that folds up and fits in the corner of the living room when not in use. Bedding is also provided for this.

Both bathrooms have a sink, toilet, shower, medicine cabinet, full-size mirror, hair dryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner and other basic grooming supplies.

Your cottage also has its own lush, private, screened lanai surrounded by palms, with string lights, lounging for 6, and Bluetooth speaker so you can dine, play games and enjoy your own music in privacy, day or night.

Towels, linens, beach towels, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas are all provided. Toilet paper, paper towels, tissues and cleaning supplies are also provided.

Of course, chicken treats are always on hand, and a meet and greet with the chickens is absolutely on the agenda!

All well behaved pets and lifestyles welcome. Your friendly host, Kathleen, lives in the main house on the property, but when you are here, feel free to roam. You might see Kathleen tending to the chickens or working on a project, but don't be shy - she designed this place for you to ENJOY!
