We’d like to provide some clarification. Your stay was for five nights, and aside from the initial message regarding the front door code upon arrival, we did not receive any communication about cleanliness, ants, kitchen equipment, or access issues. When you contacted us about the door code, we unlocked it remotely and asked you to confirm everything was working. We received no follow-up, so we reasonably assumed the issue was resolved. We use this same lock system at multiple properties and have not had issues with guest access, making it difficult to determine whether this was a lock issue or user error without further communication. Regarding the comment that the home appeared “run down,” we’re unsure which areas this refers to. The exterior of the kitchen cabinets has been repainted, while the interiors are original and older; age does not equate to being unclean. The home is cleaned and inspected between every stay. The ant issue was not reported during your visit. In Florida, ants can occasionally appear if food is left out, and had we been notified, we would have addressed it promptly. The kitchen is equipped in line with what is standard for a short-term rental, and the number of televisions is accurately reflected in the listing. Most guests come to Sarasota to enjoy the beaches, warm weather, and outdoor activities rather than spend time indoors watching TV.
