Au cƓur du marchĂ© historique de l'Est, une maison en rangĂ©e qui faisait partie de la visite de la restauration historique n'attendait que vous et votre famille! L'une des rares maisons en rangĂ©e qui ont Ă©tĂ© complĂštement modernisĂ©es tout en conservant le charme fĂ©dĂ©ral ancien, elle sera confortable et exactement ce que vous recherchez lorsque vous visitez le Capitole des Nations. À quelques pas du mĂ©tro, des magasins et restaurants de Barracks Row, du stade Nationals et du Capitole lui-mĂȘme, cet endroit est imbattable! Avons-nous Ă©galement mentionnĂ© que nous avons un jardin? La plupart des maisons ne sont pas assez grandes sur la colline pour un barbecue en plein air. Kitchen was great for preparing all kinds of meals. Nice sleeping accommodations. Location was superb. Close to grocery stores, metro, and restaurants. Using Uber/Lyft or just plain walking was a breeze.

This Capitol Hill home was perfection for location: steps from the metro, parking for our rental, and a quick stroll from Eastern market made it so convenient. The house had all the luxuries you want away from home-a nice selection of pillows, cozy bedding, hot showers with great water pressure, a well appointed kitchen, and immaculate design and decor. Our family of 6 fit perfectly and the neighborhood felt quite safe while out walking with our children. Lovely outdoor areas were enjoyable day and night with a friendly cat who checked in occasionally. Despite the Smithsonian being shutdown, the eclectic decor and history of this home made it feel like a mini museum that has been carefully curated. The owners were great to work with and very communicative.

Charming historic Capitol Hill home with lots of character and a great location. However, several things impacted our stay: allergy flare-ups due to past cat presence (not disclosed), a leaking air mattress, worn bedding, and only one parking pass for a multi-bedroom rental. Some appliance instructions would also help. With better transparency and small upgrades, this could be a great stay.

We had the very best time on our trip! This house far exceed our expectations and was truly one of the highlights of our trip as it was a treasure trove of history in and of itself. We had the loveliest time staying in your home! We were in town for a wedding, and this was the perfect spot for base camp, winding down with family, and enjoying the beautiful DC area. Just loved the character of the home, well-appointed and modern, and also full of history and old charm. Home was exactly as described and the owners were very helpful and responsive. PERFECT!!!!

It was truly a delight to stay at this property!!! We stayed there for the week of our daughter's wedding and it could not have been more perfect! The location is fabulous, the house was very homey and wonderful for our family time together, and the hosts were incredibly gracious. The parking permit they provided made our stay extra convenient. The property is beautiful and functional. We utilized the indoor and outdoor space and both were delightful! We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself!

This is beautiful home! Large, comfortable rooms. Kitchen is awesome with lots of high end amenities. Kids loved the basement with the big TV. Perfect location to relax after a day in DC. The walk to the closest metro was .4 miles

Beautiful property. Great location, centrally located. A little tight for 10 people, specially since there was no closet space for guest to use as they were all full with owner's belongings. Was worried we would accidentally break some of the decorations as the house had them all over the house (very pretty, though). Overall a great experience.

Great DC Space!

This is a great property to visit our Nation's Capital. It is located just off the Mall. We walked to the Capital the first night and my kids were in awe of the beauty of the Mall at night. This location is a quick walk to the Metro, Trader Joes, and many restaurants at Eastern Market. We also found the availability of escooters and bikes at the Metro station fun to tour the city.

Wonderful

We had an amazing time visiting all the sites in DC and having this lovely home to come back to everyday was ideal. The location was great and parking was plentiful. We were there over the Fourth of July, it was extremely hot and humid, and this home provided much needed relief. The AC was more than adequate and we were thankful. The hosts were easily accessible by phone, we thank them for a wonderful time.

Lovely, historic home in beautiful neighborhood

This house is beautifully decorated, walkable to Eastern Market metro, and well appointed kitchen. Hosts live here and move downstairs to basement apt during occupancy. They were helpful, and plenty of towels, great beds, linens, etc. Great airconditioning system for the DC humidity. Kitchen is fully equipped, although we didn't use it except for coffee machine. Lots of great places to eat in Eastern Market area where you catch the Metro. We started in the market itself as our guidebook said they have the best crabcakes in DC and we agreed. We stayed here with three adults and three 13 year old grandkids and all were comfortable. Be aware, this is a pre-1900s house, so stairs are narrow and steep, but manageable, and our Midwest teens loved that it was so old and connected with DC history. It would have been nice to have some written quidelines, but we managed and owners were responsive and helpful, plus nearby. It is about a mile walk from here to Union Station and/or Congress. We took the metro for other sights farther along the National Mall.

Literally blocks from everything! 8 to Nations Capitol, Supreme Court and Library of Congress. 1.5 to Historic Eastern Market and Trader Joe’s, 2 to Barracks Row shopping, eating and Nightlife, 2 to Eastern Market Metro, and 10 minute walk to Nationals Stadium. 10 minute Uber ride from Reagan National Airport.
