Felt Just like home

Our visit to Avalon to attend the Catalina Island Conservancy Ball was a great success due to our stay here. Great location, easy walk everywhere. Good communications, property worked well for our purposes, will stay here again if available.

This property is cute and in a very convenient location in Avalon. I was not impressed with the cleanliness of this property or the communication of property instructions. The front door has the regular lock removed and there’s no obvious way to lock it from the inside so we had to leave it unlocked the first night. The host did not give us instructions on how to lock it until the next day. The door was also unlocked for check in which feels unsafe. There were toiletries provided in the shower however they were filled with water to make them last longer and there were only enough for one of the bathrooms. The bottles were also molding on the pumps. The water pitcher in the fridge was also starting to mold. Some of the exterior doors also don’t lock at all and there’s a bungee cord to secure them closed. Everything else was as expected and we had a great trip but we felt that we didn’t get what we paid for since the building was not able to be secured at night.

Wonderful home, loved the open floor plan and you can’t beat the location. Can walk to Vons easily and literally anywhere else as it’s very centrally located to shops and restaurants. We easily cooked meals since the kitchen was so well stocked. Would reserve again.

Great spot

Very nice place minutes from the ferry and a block from the grocery store. Much more modern than a lot of the old cottages on the island. Had a great time & would definitely return.

We loved this property. We were travelling with our three adult children and their spouses and it was a great place for all of us. Fantastic location, not too far from the ferry and close to the shops. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

A wonderful, easy access, beautiful location

We had a wonderful thanksgiving holiday! My 91 year grandmother and a few family members enjoyed the holiday on Catalina. The location was easy to find and so close to all that we needed. The staff were wonderful to work with. We all can’t wait to go back again.

Huge condo, very nice

We loved staying here! The only issue we had was a water leak due to rain, but otherwise had a great stay! Beautiful great room, kitchen, and dining table. One bedroom with en suite bathroom, 2 secondary bedrooms share a separate bathroom. Our 3yo loved the bunk bed!

Great location

Very nice and walkable to everything in Avalon - clean, bright and even a view of the ocean from the sunroom. Beautifully remodeled and very comfortable. Only drawback was noise from the lower unit well past quiet time of 10 pm on two of the nights.

Charming home so close to town!

Beautiful updated home with all the amenities. Stayed for three days with family. Loved that it was located so close to town. We were able to walk everywhere, no need for a golf cart. Only issue was getting a hold of the actual host. Had to go through a few steps to get that info, but once we did, it was smooth sailing from there. Will definitely be booking again!

Property is in Disrepair - We Felt a Bit Ripped Off

It was a drag that we couldn't open the place up and enjoy the fresh air. The hardware on every door, including the front door does not work properly. The front sunroom doors and windows cannot be opened due to missing or broken hardware. If you try to open a window, it could fall out. All other windows do not function. The rear door is held closed with fishing wire and balcony is a mess. Many items broken throughout the place. Stair Railing falling off the wall. Floors were not clean.

Rat Problem

I gave this property a low rating because of the rat problem. There was a lot of moving around above our heads while in the bedrooms. This forced 2 people in our party to sleep in the living room for 2 nights. I called the manager and reported the problem and she did send someone out to take care of the situation. It was obvious to us this is an ongoing problem in this property because there were traps already set in the rafters overhead in the living room. You can imagine how we all felt knowing that! Another negative was the lock on the front door - easy to lock from inside but very difficult to lock when leaving for the day, so we left it unlocked. Also, there should be a covering on the window in the master bathroom and the door in that bathroom that leads to the outside patio does not close/lock. All of that being said, the unit was clean and very conveniently located.

Great place

Really enjoyed this place. It was a block and a half to downtown Avalon and the house was very relaxing and accomodating.
