The space
Under new ownership and management! While this listing is new, we have been hosts for over 7 years now and are excited to add this home to our portfolio. We hope you love this home as much as we do. Its convenient location offers a great location to explore all the Lakes Region has to offer.
The Ambrose House is situated in Moultonborough, NH at the foot of the Castle in the Clouds. The home dates to the early 19th century, and has served as a family farm, boarding house, and residence through the generations of occupants. The Ambrose family cemetery, now part of town land, is on the northeast corner of the property and includes the Revolutionary War soldier, Captain Nathaniel Ambrose.
The home is comfortably appointed to make your stay welcoming. Two bedrooms downstairs, and two upstairs provide sleeping for up to 8 people. The enclosed porch is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee, or for children to play with the toys we provide. Multiple bookshelves in the home are filled with a variety of books for all interests and ages. An office space and WIFI give digital nomads a place to stay productive when needed. If games are your thing, you will find a large selection under the living room TV.
The kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans, baking sheets, utensils, dinnerware & silverware, and tools. The centerpiece is an antique stove converted to propane, but guests can also use the wall oven, microwave, induction cooktop, and toaster. Morning coffee rituals can be satisfied with an espresso maker, drip coffee pot, moka pot, Keurig, electric kettle, and coffee grinder. An assortment of teas are also in the drawer in front of the coffee station. We provide essentials like salt and pepper. Finally, the well water is safe to drink, and comes from the same source as Geyser Peak bottled water.
The first floor of the attached barn includes fun activities like yard games, foosball, ping pong, and a Pacman arcade game.
The property has a spacious backyard with a fire pit and Adirondack chairs, and the apple and pear trees provide fruit in the fall for your enjoyment. The fenced-in side yard includes space for pets to stretch their legs in safety. A new deck with table and chairs and a gas grill provides opportunities to cook, dine, and relax outside. A hot tub is situated with privacy from the road and neighbor.
Our neighbors have a farm--their farmstand across the street is open during the growing months and provides the freshest farm-to-table experience imaginable.
Moultonborough hosts two town beaches and a beach pass to park is located in the drawer under the printer.
Traveling with small children?
In addition to the childrenâs corner on the sun porch full of toys and books, there is also a pack n play and full sized high chair in the barn for your use. We also have a baby gate on the sun porch and some outlet covers is the drawer under the printer.
Traveling with Pets?
Dog bowls and Matt are all n the bottom shelf of the pantry in front of the sink. If you need a grate you will find both a large and small one in the barn. The deck door has a doggie door if your pets are used to using one. There is a bag of dog toys by the slider and a dog house in the fenced in yard. We do ask that you clean up after your pets and provide a pooper scooper on the shed as well as doggie bags in the drawer to the right of the antique stove.
